The conception and methods of computer-aided solution of flexible manufacturing cells technological equipment layout relative to industrial robot (IR) with optimization by a set of accepted criteria are presented. The software realization of this task for IR having working area (WA) of complicated shape is presented. The idea of surface analytical description of IR WA having complicated shape and interactive editor for its computer-aided forming are presented.

The task of computer-aided forming of working positions technological servce route (WPTSR) of industrial robots (IR) in flexible manufacturing cells (FMC) of mechanoprocessing is considered. The computer aided forming of WPTSR is fulfilled on the basis of the given workpiece processing technological route and also on the basis of service strategy that is determined by technological possibilities of IR and according to auxiliary equipment presence. The task of WPTSR forming is the part of assumed approach to the fulfilling of the computer-aided planning of FMC equipment and is the basis for the realization of computer simulation of WPTSR processing by IR. The software realization of the tasks of WPTSR forming and following simulation of its processing is presented in this work. This allows to determine the productivity paramrters of FMC being designed and to form the IR actions sequences during FMC work.
