Some remarks on stability analysis of soil nailed walls

Based on a simple case example, stability analysis of 8m high soil nailed wall was performed. Four different computer programmes were employed. This enabled to compare results from different design methods. In the second step, finite element code Plaxis was applied to the same problem. Article presents a brief summary of the comparative study. Attention is paid on the obtain values of global safety factor of the nailed wall for inner failure surface and the observed failure mechanisms.
