Utrzymanie i ochrona zabytkowych mostów wymaga stałej kontroli ich stanu technicznego oraz systematycznego przeprowadzania prac remontowych. W artykule przedstawiono problemy remontowe mostów zabytkowych na przykładzie 100-letniego mostu drogowego w Cigacicach w województwie lubuskim. Obiekt był kilkakrotnie wzmacniany i modernizowany, a w 2022 r. zostały skończone kolejne prace remontowe wynikające ze stwierdzonych niekorzystnych zjawisk korozyjnych elementów stalowych mostu oraz betonowej płyty pomostowej. Zgodnie z zaleceniami konserwatorskimi, renowacji poddana była historyczna konstrukcja stalowa oraz podpory mostu.

The maintenance and protection of historic bridges requires constant inspection of their technical condition and systematic repair works. The article presents repair problems of historic bridges on the example of the 100-year-old road bridge in Cigacice in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The structure has been reinforced and upgraded several times, and further repair works resulting from the identified adverse corrosion phenomena of the bridge’s steel elements and concrete deck slab were completed in 2022. In accordance with conservation recommendations, the historic steel structure and the bridge supports were renovated.

Zaniechanie działalności naprawczej stanowi niezwykle istotny czynnik powodujący degradację budynku. Brak prac naprawczych może prowadzić do zagrożenia stateczności konstrukcji budynku, zagrożenia życia użytkowników, dalszego niszczenia obiektu przez uszkodzenie następnych elementów, a nawet do katastrofy budowlanej. W artykule przedstawiona została metoda zarządzania renowacją budynku zabytkowego bazująca na konsekwencjach zaniechania działalności naprawczej. Problemy związane z zarządzaniem renowacji zaprezentowano na przykładzie pałacu w Drwalewicach.

Failure to carry out repair work is an extremely important factor in the deterioration of a building. Failure to carry out renovation work can lead to a threat to the structural stability of the building, a threat to the lives of the occupants, further deterioration of the building through damage to subsequent elements and even to a building catastrophe. This paper presents a method formanaging the restoration of a historic building based on the consequences of abandoning the restoration activity. The problems of restoration management are presented using the example of the palace in Drwalewice.

The road bridge in Cigacice is a very good example of and testimony to the level of knowledge and skills in interwar engineering art. The bridge is almost 100 years old, put to use in 1925, and was designed and manufactured by Beuchelt & Co. in Zielona Góra. The bridge has 10 spans with a parabolic main span, and the supporting structure for the spans is made of steel lattice girders. The object has been strengthened and modernized several times. Currently, renovation works are also being carried out, resulting from identified unfavorable corrosion of the steel elements of the bridge and the concrete bridge slab. The historic steel structure and the bridge supports are being renovated according to the conservation recommendations.

Prace renowacyjne w budynkach sakralnych często są prowadzone nieprawidłowo, terminy są przesuwane, zakres ograniczony, występują błędy w kolejności prac. Główną przyczyną takich działań jest brak funduszy. Jednak w przypadku obiektów, które są wpisane do rejestru zabytków, regularne i konsekwentne wykonywanie prac naprawczych oraz remontów jest niezwykle istotne, aby uniemożliwić ich degradację. Celem badań jest opracowanie strategii prac renowacyjnych, która umożliwi utrzymanie zabytkowych budynków sakralnych w jak najlepszym stanie technicznym przez jak najdłuższy czas.

Renovation works in sacred buildings are often carried out incorrectly, the dates of works are postponed, the scope is limited, there are errors in the sequence of works. The main reason for these proceedings is lack of funds. However, in the case of buildings that are listed in the register of monuments, it is extremely important to carry out repair and renovation works regularly and consistently to prevent their degradation. The aim of this research is to develop a strategy for restoration works that will enable historic sacred buildings to remain in the best possible technical condition for as long as possible.
