Content available Method for determining location of FSRU terminal

The article concerns the process of determining the safe location of the FSRU (floating storage regasification unit) terminal. The article introduces the process of analysis both in the context of navigation and manoeuvrability, as well as the process of analysing the movement of the ship's hull at the quay in order to determine the operability criteria of the terminal. The article indicates that in order to determine, a safe location for the FSRU terminal in the context of gas storage and regasification, many aspects should be analysed, in terms of weather, safe navigation, environmental and security conditions especially in present military situation i Europe. Therefore, a brief review of the type of FSRU terminals, the review input data for analyses, and the type of simulations to be carried out, also review of the current security situation in sea areas. The final result of the work will be create algorithm which will be as a help hand in process for safe selection the location of the FSRU terminal, as well it will be define a catalogue of anticipated risks in the sea areas, and indicate areas of particular sensitivity, i.e., what to put the most significant emphasis on to prepare for the occurrence of a given risk and what are the possibilities of reducing it to an acceptable level or even reversing the trend of increasing threats.

Reviving is noticeable in the field of oil and gas production located under the seabed. The off-shore projects are being implemented. Due to this, the risk of accidents at each stage of production should be considered continually. The offshore market, both oil and gas as well as renewable energy, is estimated to increase steadily in the coming years. Therefore, the operations on the production oil field must be suitably protected at every stage of performing work. The paper describes how important Job Safety Analyses are for proper operations. The main aim of the article is to indicate steps and the best way of performing JSA on board of the offshore installation to reduce the risk of emergency. The selected disasters and major accidents indicate that the conducted activity is exposed to the risk of hazards to the natural environment and to people at every stage of the reservoir exploitation. The authors use the analysis of available international reports, the experience gained while working on different types of the offshore vessels and installations as well as in the Polish offshore company.

Study presents the analysis of accidents that took place in marine areas and on board of the sea units in 2017, including: vessel carrying passengers, cargo vessels and offshore drilling and production installations, as well as offshore support vessels. The aim of the article is to indicate a wide spectrum of events related to: total losses of vessels, accidents on boards of the vessels and other accidents which happened in marine areas. The study presents numerous data, which were presented in the form of graphs and tables, based on international reports and own experience gained during work experiences. The analysis also referred to data from previous years to show better spectrum of the present situation.

W opracowaniu przedstawiono analizę wypadków jakie miały w 2017 roku miejsce na obszarach morskich, włączając w to: statki przewożące pasażerów, jak i różnego typu towary oraz morskie platformy wiertnicze i wydobywcze, a także statki przeznaczone do obsługi morskich pól eksploatacyjnych. Celem artykułu jest pokazanie szerokiego spektrum czynników oraz zdarzeń związanych ze stratami całkowitymi statków, wypadkami na jednostkach morskich oraz zagrożeniami, które występują na obszarach morskich. W opracowaniu przedstawiono liczne dane, które zostały przedstawione w formie wykresów i tabel, opartych o międzynarodowe raporty oraz własne doświadczenia uzyskane podczas pracy zawodowej.

Content available remote DSS-MEDA a web-based framework for video annotation in medical e-learning

In this paper a video annotation system is presented, called DSS-MEDA, used for describing medical videos. The aim of this framework is to provide physicians with a tool for annotating video recordings of medical procedures destined for e-learning. The system manages media files, which are streamed by the Darwin Streaming Server. DSS-MEDA enables controlled access to video resources depending on roles assigned to users. The annotations can be of two kinds: single lined subtitles or complex, hierarchical descriptions in HTML format. The long-term goal of this study is to create a large multimedia database of medical videos.

Praca prezentuje system DSS-MEDA stużący do udostępniania przez Internet materiałów wideo z zabiegów medycznych oraz tworzenia ich opisu na potrzeby e-nauczania. Przechowywane w bazie danych filmy strumieniowane są. za pomocą. serwera Darwin Streaming Server. Dostęp do zasobów udzielany jest na podstawie systemu ról użytkowników. Opis materiałów wideo może być dwojakiego rodzaju: jedno-wierszowe podpisy oraz hierarchiczny opis w formacie HTML. Przedstawiony system jest częścią większego projektu mającego na celu stworzenia dużej medycznej bazy danych przechowującej edukacyjne materiały wideo.
