An important field of investigation for modern Geodesy is related to crustal movements and deformation studies. The European VLBI Network has been measuring crustal deformation for more than ten years and its northernmost observatory is situated in Ny Aelesund, Svalbard Is. (Campbell and Nothnagel 2000). An integrated geodetic network (spirit levelling and GPS) was established and measured in July 2002, in order to verify the stability of VLBI antenna site. The paper deals with operative aspects and results obtained in the framework of the first campaign of measurements.
