W pracy przedstawiono analizę zmian frakcyjnej skuteczności odpylania podczas intensywnego barbotażu, w strefie kroplowej oraz podczas uderzenia w zwilżoną powierzchnię w warunkach całkowitej recyrkulacji cieczy. Przy wysokich stężeniach zawiesiny zaobserwowano istotne obniżenie frakcyjnej skuteczności odpylania. Jako pył testowy zastosowano talk o cząstkach mniejszych od 20 [mi]m i blisko 50 procentowym udziałem cząstek mniejszych od 5 [mi]m. Do pomiaru skuteczności frakcyjnej zastosowano zmodyfikowany układ impaktorów kaskadowych.

In work the analyses of fractional efficiency changes in conditions of intensive barbotage, in drop zone and during striking into moistened surface were presented. At the high suspension concentration the significant reduction of general and fractional efficiency was observed. Talc, consisted of dust particles smaller then 20 [mi]m and including almost 50% of the particles smaller then 5 [mi]m, was used as tested dust. On the measurement effectiveness faction to apply modify cascade. To measurement of fraction's effectiveness were applied modified cascade impactor system.

The analysis of fractional dust removal efficiency changes in intensive barbotage conditions and in the drop zone with total liquid recirculation was presented in the paper. A reduction of the overall efficiency was observed for the suspension concentration close to 2.5%. It was confirmed that the effect was caused by the reduction of dust removal fractional efficiency for particles smaller then 5 mm.

Thermal water deoxidisation is a physical process of oxygen desorption from water occurring in the conditions of concurrent heat and mass exchange. The research of the present work required the construction of an original research stand. It was used for performing a series of preliminary tests aimed at the assessment of the influence of controllable parameters of the process and the influence of the number of layers of packing and also its configuration on the process itself. The results of tests were presented in the form of graphs illustrating the relationship between temperature, oxygen concentration in the degassed water and the number of layers in the compact and spaced packet of packing. The graphs present the above relationship in the variable temperature of water directed to the desorber. As a result of performing preliminary tests, a packet packing composed of seven compact layers was chosen for application in main tests. In order to generalise the obtained test results, a model based on Colburn's method was proposed. The height of the transfer unit was dependent on the ratio of the intensity of the flowing phases and the ratio of the temperature of water directed to degassing and the optimal temperature for the process.

In the paper the preliminary investigation results for ring-shaped jet mills are presented. The geometric parameters of the mill, rate of material grinding and air flow were chosen as variables of the process. The selection of constructional and operating parametrs of the mill makes it possible to obtain an appropiate degree of dispersion and operating efficiency.

In the paper the simplified model of milling process in a ring-shaped jet mills is presented. This model can be used in a qualitative analysis of influence of selected parameters on the particle size and product fineness degree. The characteristics obtained can be used in mill designing and selection of operating parameters for a mill.

W referacie przedstawione zostały wyniki badań pierścieniowego młyna strumieniowego, w którym zmiennymi parametrami procesu były wymiary geometryczne komór, usytuowanie dysz zasilających, obciążenie i natężenie przepływu powietrza. Przeprowadzona analiza wyników pozwala na uzyskanie żądanego stopnia rozdrobnienia i wydajności mielonego materiału poprzez odpowiedni dobór sterowalnych parametrów konstrukcyjno-ruchowych.

In the paper the preliminary results of the investigation of the ring-shaped jet mills are presented. The geometric parameters of the mill and the rate of grinding materials and air jet were choosen as the variables of the process. The choise of the construction and operating parameters of the mill makes possible to obtain degree of dispersion and operating efficiency.

The study presents test results of thermal oxygen desorption from water in a column apparatus with packet packing. The shape of packet packing is presented in Fig. 2a. During the test, final oxygen in water was determined together with water temperature after desorption at alternating intensity of vapour flow directed to desorption column and at alternating number of layers and configuration of packet packing. The experiments were carried out for 4 and 7 compact layers of packing and for 4 layers spaced at a distance equal to the height of the layer. The lowest oxygen concentration was reached for a packet consisting of 7 compact packing layers (see Fig. 4, 5). Achieved results of final oxygen content prove that packet packing is useful in thermal desorption apparatus. Obtained results in the experiments are presented by means of Heigh of Transfer Unit method. Equation 1 presents a definition of number of transfer unit (N) during the thermal oxygen desorption from water process. Relationship between HTU and numbers of packet layers are presented in the Fig. 6. On the graph one can see increase of HTU value with increasing of numbers of packet layers. The height of transfer unit (HTU) achieved in the experiments reaches low values which shows that the process of mass exchange is effective confirming usefulness of apparatus with packet packing in thermal desorption process.

Omówiono wstępne wyniki analiz i badań zmierzających do opracowania metody projektowania i regulacji strumieniowych młynów pierścieniowych, pozwalającej na uzyskanie ziaren produktu o pożądanym wymiarze na drodze wewnętrznej klasyfikacji, przy równoczesnym uzyskiwaniu maksymalnej wydajności mielenia przez młyn.

Preliminary results of analyses and tests have been discussed, which were aimed at preparing a method of designing and regulation of thoroidal jet mills allowing obtaining product grains of the required size by way of internal classification with simultaneous obtaining of the maximum milling efficiency of the mill.

While seeking the possibilities of increasing efficiency of operation of self-classyfying thyroidal jet mills, a calculation method was prepared for designing and regulation of such mills, which enables obtaining product grains of the pre-set size with the simultaneous most effective index of the milling medium wear. The idea is simple and consists in as immediate as possible removing grains of the given size from the milling chamber, without unnecessary overloading it or unnecessary "millingover" the ready product. For this purpose, without channing parameters of the milling process itself, size of the air stream within the milling chamber should be appropriately changed (by way of changing the nozzle cross section) in order to obtain the intended exhaust effect. The basic assumptions and the final results of calculations have been given in the form of exhaust characteristics (Fig. 4,5). The testing laboratory has been verifyingcorrectness of the prepared calculation scheme.

Paper presents evaluation of known from literature equations to determinate flow resistances for aerosol flowing through porous filtering layers. Attention was paid on high dependance of layer porosity ε and thickness of fibres on value on drag coefficient k analysis of drag coefficient were made in equations 6-16 and its big variations even for small changes ε and a were shown. On picture 1-3 dependance showing influence ε, a and H on value of flow resistances were presented. Value of calculated pressure droop ΔP when porosity is changed ±1% shows big variations.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań własności odciekowych i skuteczności działania przegród filtracyjnych w procesie odolejania. Przegrody wykonano metodą zgrzewania włóknistych materiałów filtracyjnych. Dokonano oceny ich przydatności w ciągłych procesach wydzielania fazy ciekłej z przepływającego aerozolu.

Research on oozing properties and efficiency of filter layers in deoiling process is presented. The filter layers were made by welding of selected fibrous f ltering materials. A usability of such layers in continuous separation of liquid phase from flowing aerosol was evaluated.
