In the paper we deal with the problem of three-dimensional shape reconstruction when its two-dimensional projections from selected directions are available. This situation corresponds e.g. to the trial of digitalizing the shape from photographs. We propose a methods for creating the mesh, projecting the shape keeping the information about light and perspective. On this basis we use SA technique to modify this shape in a controlled way in order to reproduce the initially assumed one best.

In the paper there are presented the results of steady state searching for 3-5 state Potts model. The results of simulation are presented and its efficiency is discussed. Finally the model is adapted to the trial of reconstruction of grey scaled images initially blurred by the special modification procedure. The results show the usefulness of the simple method in the process of contour recognition.

The area of magnetism offers a wealth of possibilities to study different algorithmic approaches. The reason is the diversity of different forms which can be used to describe magnetic samples. One can start from the most simple Ising-like system which, being of physical origin, became an inspiration for many models in a various areas of science and the formulation of which fits ideally the earliest representations of genetic algorithms. The recent problems concern elaborate molecular structures, like eg. spin glasses where the character of interaction between the spins of the same type may be different depending on some random variable or mixed alloys which can have different stoichiometry or structure and therefore present visibly distinct magnetic characteristics. In this paper we will deal with the mixed magnetic ternary alloy - an analog of prussian blue. Some results concerning the physical conclusions coming from applying the evolutionary computation to analyse this material have already been published and here the attention will be paid to the influence of parameter change on the efficiency of procedure.
