The aim of this paper is based on the analysis of literary sources and carried out research to identify the main difficulties of implementing innovation activities in Slovak transport businesses and make recommendations to minimize the occurrence of these problems. The paper brings the main results of the authors conducted research on a sample of 53 respondents to show the current situation in the Slovak transport businesses in the use of innovation activities. Paper contains recommendations for successful implementation of innovation activities in the business. These recommendations should be a valuable tool for business managers for implementation of the innovation activities.
