Proces technologiczny pozwalający na wytwarzanie energii elektrycznej i termicznej określa się terminem kogeneracji (CHP – ang. Combined Heat and Power).

The technological process which allows the production of electricity and thermal Energy is described as cogeneration (CHP – Combined Heat and Power). Cogeneration installations due to the high overall efficiency (over 80%) and low investment costs are used, among others in industry by creating distributed energy sources. In order to increase the operational safety of cogeneration systems, the paper analyzes the failure of cogeneration systems in industrial networks and indicates their possible causes and effects of failures.
