Purpose: The issue of quality culture is a topical one, whilst contemporary socio-economic conditions set new requirements for it, including a systemic approach based on the requirements of management standards, which have prompted us to analyze this approach to the subject. Design/methodology/approach: The article presents an in-depth analysis of sourced texts compiled with the requirements of ISO 9004. Findings: The paper specifies the postulates resulting from the analysis of the issue, which, in the opinion of the authors, indicate the most important aspects related to building a quality culture in organizations. Practical implications: The analysis of the issue presented in the article indicates its topicality and importance in the improvement of each organization, indicating the need to implement the activities described in the article into management practice. Originality/value: The presented analysis of the issue indicates the most important contemporary problems for the authors related to building a quality culture. The article contains a model of building a quality culture based on activities shaping the awareness of employees in organizations with an implemented management system.

W artykule dokonano analizy zagadnienia integracji systemów zarządzania wynikającej ze zmiany struktury norm z zakresu zarządzania. Podjęto dyskusję w zakresie problematyki integracji systemów zarządzania w ujęciu procesowym. Zwrócono szczególną uwagę na kwestie związane ze znaczeniem podejścia procesowego w działaniach podejmowanych w organizacjach wdrażających lub posiadających zintegrowany system zarządzania.

The article analyzes the issues of integration of management systems resulting from changes in the structure of management standards. It was discussed in terms of the reference integration issues management systems in terms of the process. Special attention was paid to the issues related to the importance of the process approach in the activities of organizations implementing or having an integrated management system.

Purpose: The purpose of this monograph is to present a developed methodology of technology management with a particular focus on the specifics of heat treatment processes. Design/methodology/approach: Researches on the solution of the problem in question required semantic definition of the contemporary range of technologies in the area of material realization of production processes, both in term of the classical approach to the issue of technology designing as well as in the statement of the problem in the context of the governance aspects. The paper concerns the analysis and research in the interdisciplinary field of materials science and management science. Achievements: The main achievement relates to the design of technology management methodology that has been proposed so that it could be applied to a variety of manufacturing processes. Valuable and original results in both cognitive and application related terms to the determination of management technology have been obtained. Research limitations/implications: Research and analysis, in spite of their interdisciplinary scope, have been limited to the process of technology management in the field of heat treatment processes, despite they had been considered as special processes. Due to the specificity of the issue, it is difficult to estimate the economic impact of the implementation of the proposed solutions. Practical implications: The practical application of the proposed solution is related to the increasing demand for solutions concerning the application-type use of technology management by business entities to the production practice, but also this study is a starting point for further considerations and development of the scientific concept of technology management. Originality/value: Presented in this paper author’s opinion in the field of technology management, including the developed technology management methodology is an original approach of the subject. The priority factors in the field of technology management have been indicated. The concepts of technology assessment and technology management model have been proposed. It has been shown the legitimacy of the undertaken actions to determine the scientific issue of technology management, including the merits of practical use in manufacturing processes has been indicated.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to present a view of problems of quality assurance/management system in university education in the field of education and research. Design/methodology/approach: In the paper there was presented an approach to quality management system in the education and associated requirements and purposes. Findings: The paper presents problems of implementation and functioning of quality assurance/management system based on legal requirements obligatory in Poland, either on standard ISO 9001:2000 and guide IWA 2:2007. Research limitations/implications: The article presents problems of implementations and functioning of quality assurance/management systems in the education. Practical implications: Presented in the paper opinion should acquaint with advantages of introduction in the universities the quality assurance/management system based on legal requirements obligatory in Poland, either standard ISO 9001:2000 and guide IWA 2:2007 in the field of education and research. Originality/value: The paper is based on personal experience of the authors in introduction of the quality assurance/management system in educational units with usage of standard ISO 9001:2000 and on legal requirements obligatory in Poland.

Purpose: The quality management in the productive processes is essential in formation of the quality of the final product. It is particularly important in the motor industry. The paper presents characteristics of the management methods and application of the processing point analysis in the chosen productive process. Design/methodology/approach: To solve the problem presented in the paper the authors used the method of the processing point analysis applied in the enterprises adapting the quality management model of the World Class Production. Findings: In the paper there were presented the results of the analyses for the productive process of the back door assembly with usage of the processing point analysis. Research limitations/implications: Presented in the paper methodology and the way of running the processing point analysis being an example of the quality management in the process may serve as the guide for realization of similar tasks. Originality/value: Original application at the example of the methodology of the processing point analysis.

Purpose: Of this paper was to present the methodology of analysis of the productive processes with application of value analysis and multi-criterion-analysis which allow to evaluate the technology and organization of the productive processes. Design/methodology/approach: Presented in the paper methodology of evaluation of the productive processes is based on analysis of activities in the productive processes and their characteristics with reference to created value in the productive chain. Findings: The paper presents elaborated by the author methodology and computer application for application in the chains of the productive processes. Research limitations/implications: Presented methodology allows to evaluate effectivity of the productive chains connecting aspects of the management and economics of the process. Practical implications: Presented methodology was used in analysis of the productive chains and their effectivity, and also as a benchmarking instrument. Originality/value: The paper presents originally elaborated computer application for the value added analysis in the productive chains.

Findings: The paper presents problems of implementation and functioning of quality management system based on standard ISO 9001:2000 with reference to the other means of assurance of quality in education. Research limitations/implications: The article presents problems of implementations quality management systems at the example of only one unit being independent organizational unit of the university. Practical implications: Presented in the paper opinion should acquaint with advantages of introduction in the universities the quality management system based on standard ISO 9001:2000 in the field of education and research. Originality/value: The paper is based on personal experience of the authors in introduction of the quality management system in educational units with usage of standard ISO 9001:2000. Nowadays this is the only organization in the education which has introduced and certificated quality management system in Poland.

Research limitations/implications: Limitations associated with the presented in the article approach can concern quality awareness of persons involved in the processes of quality management system and costs of certification. Content available remote Application of value analysis in processes of cog-wheels production

Purpose: The analysis of the processes based on the value analysis allows to evaluate of applied technologies of production. In the paper there is presented the value analysis for chosen processes of cog-wheels production as well as correlation of the functions of the product with the costs of operations creating them. An evaluation of applied technologies of production was done. Design/methodology/approach: Application of the method of value analysis with reference to productive chains including results of cost analysis. Findings: The study presents results of performed value analysis for chosen processes in particular with reference to costs of realized processes of cog-wheels. The analysis was done in the productive processes of the same product in two different technologies. Research limitations/implications: Evaluation of costs of operations of the productive processes. Practical implications: Presented in the paper approach and application of the method of value analysis essentially influences evaluation and increasing of efficiency of realized productive processes. Originality/value: Presented method is based on the methodology by L.D. Miles, L.W. Crum.
