This investigation deals with the effect of variable thermal conductivity in a micropolar thermoelastic medium without energy dissipation with cubic symmetry. The normal mode technique is employed for obtaining components of physical quantities such as displacement, stress, temperature distribution and microrotation.

The present research article deals with the study of a boundary value problem of a one-dimensional semi-infinite hygro-thermoelastic rod of length l. The deformation of the rod is under consideration when the left boundary of the hygro-thermoelastic rod is subjected to a sudden heat source. The solutions of the considered variables are decomposed in terms of normal modes. Analytical expressions of displacement, moisture concentration, temperature field, and stresses are obtained and presented graphically for different periods. By studying the one-dimensional thermal shock problem for a semi-infinite hygrothermoelastic rod, the authors aim to gain insights into the fundamental behavior of materials subjected to rapid temperature changes and moisture effects.

The present research focuses on two-dimensional deformation in a functionally graded thermoelastic micro-elongated medium. It is supposed that the non-homogeneous properties (thermal and mechanical) of FGM are in the x-direction. The normal mode technique is used to acquire the analytic expression for displacement components, stress, micro-elongation and temperature. The cause and effect relationship of non-homogeneity and physical quantities is shown through graphical results.

This paper is concerned with the study of propagation of Rayleigh waves in a homogeneous isotropic piezo-electric microstretch-thermoelastic solid half-space. The medium is subjected to stress-free, isothermal boundary. After developing a mathematical model, the dispersion curve in the form of polynomial equation is obtained. Phase velocity and attenuation coefficient of the Rayleigh wave are computed numerically. The numerically simulated results are depicted graphically. Some special cases have also been derived from the present investigation.

The present investigation deals with the twodimensional deformation because of laser pulse heating in a thermoelastic microelongated layer with a thickness of 2d, which is immersed in an infinite nonviscous fluid. Normal mode analysis technique is applied to obtain the analytic expressions for displacement component, force stress, temperature distribution, and microelongation. The effect of elongation and laser pulse rise time on the derived components have been depicted graphically.

In the present discussion, the plane strain deformation due to laser pulse heating in a thermoelastic microelongated solid has been discussed. The analytic expressions for displacement component, force stress, temperature distribution and micro-elongation have been derived. The effect of pulse rise time and micro-elongation on the derived components have been depicted graphically.
