Detecting and distinguishing vehicles with a maximum permissible weight up to 3.5 tonnes, among others required in the TLS 8+1 classification, due to the similar dimensions of selected vehicle groups is often a relatively complex process that requires the use of extensive classification methods. Detection of commercials vans is particularly important. Their parameters are similar to lorry vehicles and their incorrect classification, eg in systems of weighing vehicles in motion, results in the lack of information on exceeding the permissible total weight. The article presents the selected classification method and its effectiveness.

The article presents selected statistical analyses of data registered by weigh in motion systems (WIM). Particular analyses are intended to determine the distribution of selected parameters and assess the possibility of using statistical measures to test the long-term stability of WIM stations. Dataset from the WIM system was the subject of the research. Dataset is using different measurement solutions and technology.

Współczesny tłokowy silnik spalinowy stanowi konstrukcję, której długotrwała praca jest możliwa, jeśli spełniane są wymagania eksploatacyjne stawiane przez producenta samochodu do napędu którego jest on przeznaczony. Spełnienie tych wymagań pozwala również na zachowanie dopuszczalnych poziomów emisji szkodliwych składników spalin, określonych obowiązującymi normami. Nieprawidłowa eksploatacja silnika przyczynia się do szybszego zużycia jego podzespołów i zwiększonego szkodliwego oddziaływania na środowisko. W artykule omówiono kierunki rozwoju współczesnych samochodowych silników spalinowych. Opisano przyczyny uszkodzeń turbosprężarek powszechnie stosowanych w układach dolotowych w celu zwiększenia ilości powietrza doprowadzanego do cylindrów silnika. Omówiono wybrane aspekty eksploatacyjne samochodów mające wpływ na długotrwałą i prawidłową eksploatację turbosprężarek. Przedstawiono dokumentację fotograficzną prezentującą częste uszkodzenia elementów turbosprężarek. Określono przyczyny prezentowanych uszkodzeń. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że największy wpływ na trwałość turbosprężarki ma właściwe jej smarowanie.

The modern piston combustion engine is a design whose longterm functioning is possible if operational requirements, set by a car manufacturer for a specific drive, are met. Fulfilment of the requirements enables reduction of exhaust fumes whose acceptable level of harmful components is regulated by the valid standards. Improper use of an engine contributes to a faster wear of its components and to environmental damage. The article discusses the development of modern automotive combustion engines. What is more, the paper investigates the failure causes of turbocharger compressors that are commonly used in engine air intake systems in order to increase the amount of air fed into engine cylinders. Also examined are selected operating aspects of a vehicle which influence the longterm and proper exploitation of turbocharger compressors. Photographic documentation is provided to show common failure causes of elements of turbocharger compressors. The causes of the presented failures have been determined. The analysis shows that durability of a turbocharger compressor depends to the largest extent on its lubrication.

Jednymi z namacalnych skutków poruszania się po drogach przeciążonych pojazdów są zniszczona nawierzchnia i ogólna dewastacja dróg. Właśnie o tych aspektach najczęściej się mówi w kontekście potrzeby eliminowania tego typu praktyk. Mało natomiast słyszy się o negatywnym wpływie przeciążonych samochodów, jakim jest dewastacja wspólnego dobra. Autorzy niniejszego artykułu skupili się na tym, a także na innych, rzadziej dyskutowanych skutkach poruszania się po drogach przeciążonych pojazdów.

One on the tangible effects of overloaded vehicles driven on roads are damaged road surface and general devastation of roads. These aspects are discussed most frequently in the context of the need to eliminate these practices. Yet we don't talk much about the damaging of our common property as a negative impact of overloaded vehicles. The authors of the article focused on this, as well as other seldom discussed effects of loaded vehicles driven on our roads.

This article presents a concept of detour management system for the traffic flow that run through congested areas of the urban agglomerations. This system, using the wide range of the ITS devices, allows to judge the current traffic conditions on the highly urbanized areas and, on the basis of the received data, direct the traffic on the alternative routes, by means of an active traffic information system.

W powszechnym odbiorze public relations (PR) jest domeną organizacji korporacyjnych. Ponieważ specyfika tej dziedziny plasuje ją pomiędzy działaniami typowego marketingu i funkcjami rzecznika prasowego PR jest spójnikiem dla obu tych czynności. Od jego skuteczności zależy zarówno marka komercyjnego przedsiębiorstwa, jak też prestiż i poważanie organizacji sektora publicznego. W prezentowanym materiale zwracamy uwagę tylko na kilka aspektów PR-wych, które pozwalają zrozumieć istotę tych działań i zwracają uwagę na fakt, że w funkcjonowaniu każdego podmiotu należy uwzględnić ten element jako efektywną formę budowania wizerunku firmy, formę kreowania postrzegania organizacji na zewnątrz i tworzenia dobrych relacji z otoczeniem, w którym się działa i realizuje określone przedsięwzięcia.

It is notorious that public relations (PR) are a domain of corporate organisation. The specificity of that domain locate it between the activities of typical marketing and the functions of public relations officer and the PR is a conjunction for both of these activities. Its effectiveness influences not only on a brand of commercial enterprise but prestige and the respect of public sector organisation. Some aspect of PR that allows to understand the essence of these activities and they pointed at the fact that in functioning of each subject it is necessary to include these elements as an effective form of creation of the image of the firm and for perception of the organisation on the exterior and creation of good relations with the environment where the organisation deals with and executes its business ventures.
