This study analyzes the competitiveness of various transportation companies using different means of transportation across three Polish Provinces: Małopolskie, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie. The number of direct links, travel times and fares are compared. Private bus entrepreneurs are found to be the dominant carries travelling between major cities to the Province seats. Nevertheless, long-distance railroad carriers turned out to offer the best travel time, chiefly on the main train bar stretching from Cracow to Przemyśl. A decline in the number of secondary train connections is the most visible effect of the recent changes concerning railroad market in Poland.
