This paper presents an algorithm of coloring cycles of a planar graph with vertices of at least a degree of five. The introduced notions of cycles, edges' cyclic numbers, and tiers and layers are crucial components of the algorithm. A planar graph is decomposed into layers of cycles. The algorithm demonstrates that at most three colors are sufficient for a layer and four colors are sufficient for the graph.
