Niniejsze opracowanie dotyczy zagrożeń wynikających z wpływu cyklicznych ruchów Ziemi i aktywności Słońca na gwałtowne zmiany klimatu.

Based on Milankovitch theory, the cyclicality of the Earth movements is analysed in this paper – precession, changes of the obliquity and eccentricity in relation of the periodic climate warming or cooling. A not included, in the Milankovitch theory, impact of changes in Earth’s orbit inclination and nutation on climate changes have been mentioned. The impact of cyclical solar activity on climate variability is discussed. The Pentagon Report raised causes and consequences of potential risks arising from change of the thermohaline circulation are presented. Final discussion and conclusions indicate the need for a balanced assessment of risks due to climate abrupt changes.
