Vehicle models are used in electronic control units in order to estimate system states and parameters. In this paper a vehicle pitch model is applied to a dynamic headlamp leveling system in order to estimate the car body pitch angle relative to the road surface. A sensitivity analysis that relies on the Sobol method is performed to find a quantitative measure for the effects of parameter variations on the desired model output. Thereby it is shown, that such a model needs an automatic adjustment to the vehicle condition.
