Artykuł prezentuje wstępne wyniki badań nad dynamiką przemian zbiorowisk zaroślowych w ich inicjalnym stadium rozwojowym, pozyskane z 15 stałych powierzchni badawczych. Obserwacje prowadzone byty w latach 1997-99 i są pierwszym etapem wieloletnich badań mających na celu poznanie struktury litocenoz zaroślowych, składu gatunkowego oraz wewnętrznego zróżnicowania w ich różnych stadiach sukcesyjnych. Stwierdzono, że znaczny wzrost liczby krzewów pociąga za sobą zmniejszenie się bogactwa florystycznego płatu, ponadto zwiększa się rola gatunków ruderalnych oraz - przejściowo - łąkowych. Ubywa natomiast roślin pochodzących z muraw kserotermicznych i okrajków termofilnych. Zaobserwowano także istotny wpływ otoczenia na tempo zasiedlania się krzewów.

The preliminary results of the research on the transformation dynamics of shrub communities in their initial developmental stage obtained from 15 permanent research plots are presented. Observations were carried out during the years 1997-99. They constitute the first phase of a long term research aiming at the recognition of the shrub phytocoenoses' structure, floristic composition, and local differentiation in various successive stages. The analysis showed that a significant increase in the volumes of shrubs was followed by a decrease in the richness of a vegetation patch. Furthetmore, the role of both the taxa from the Artemisierea class and, transitionally, of the meadow species becomes more visible. At the same time the plants of xerothermic grasslands and thermophilous saum-communities disappear. Additionally, a significant influence of the surroundings on the course of shrub colonisation was observed.
