Content available Cyberthreats in Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia

This article focuses on cyberthreats in Ukraine, Poland and Slovakia. As the ICT system in a digital state plays an important role, states are obliged to ensure their adequate protection. Interference with the proper functioning of such systems can have farreaching consequences, potentially leading to the paralysis of specific economic sectors. The continually emerging cyberthreats, their intensity and types trigger the need to constantly monitor the phenomena occurring in cyberspace. With such monitoring cyberattacks can be countered and their destructive outcomes avoided. The article indicates, inter alia, the types of cybersecurity incidents and their frequency.

Problematyka poruszana w artykule dotyczy cyberzagrożeń występujących w Ukrainie, Polsce oraz na Słowacji. Systemy teleinformatyczne w państwie cyfrowym odgrywają ważną rolę, dlatego na państwie ciąży obowiązek należytej ich ochrony. Ingerencja w normalne funkcjonowanie takich systemów może mieć daleko idące konsekwencje, nawet prowadzić do paraliżu określonych sektorów gospodarczych. Konieczność ciągłego monitoringu zjawisk występujących w cyberprzestrzeni wynika ze stałej obecności w niej cyberzagrożeń, ich intensywności i rodzaju. Pozwala to na przeciwdziałanie cyberatakom i tym samym unikanie ich negatywnych skutków. Autorzy wskazują m.in. typy incydentów oraz ich liczby.

Civil aviation, similar to other economy sectors, is exposed to cyber-attacks. In this case however, the protection against cybersecurity threats is gaining particular significance, as the industry relies heavily on the use of information systems (information and communication systems with electronic data processed in such systems). The systems are exposed to incidents. Incidents in civil aviation are events occurring in cyberspace which affect, or might potentially affect, the security of aircraft. Lotnictwo cywilne, podobnie jak i inne sfery gospodarki, jest narażone na cyberataki, w tym jednak przypadku ochrona przed zagrożeniami cyberbezpieczeństwa nabiera szczególnego znaczenia, ponieważ w tej branży na szeroką skalę wykorzystuje się systemy informacyjne (systemy teleinformatyczne wraz z przetwarzanymi w nich danymi w postaci elektronicznej). Systemy te narażone są na incydenty. Incydenty w lotnictwie cywilnym, będące zdarzeniami występującymi w cyberprzestrzeni, które mają lub mogłyby mieć wpływ na bezpieczeństwo statków powietrznych. Problematyka cyberbezpieczeństwa w lotnictwie cywilnym omawiana jest na grun¬cie regulacji obowiązujących w Polsce i na Słowacji. Analizie poddano poszczególne rozwiązania, które w tych państwach mają zapewnić cyberbezpieczeństwo transportu lotniczego.

The paper presents knowledge in the field of professional and legal implementation of building a strong cyber security of the European Union at the national level of a Member State, in the context of the implementation of a new legal norm on cyber security of the state. Part of the expert knowledge is the implementation of the law and the response to the praxeological problems of cyber security in the critical infrastructure sectors, including the TRANSPORT sector, resp. Air transport, as part of flight education.

W artykule przedstawiono wiedzę na temat zawodowych i prawnych aspektów kształtowania silnego cyberbezpieczeństwa Unii Europejskiej na poziomie państwa członkowskiego, w kontekście wdrażania nowej normy prawnej dotyczącej cyberbezpieczeństwa państwa. Wiedza fachowa obejmuje wdrażanie przepisów prawa i reagowanie na prakseologiczne problemy cyberbezpieczeństwa w sektorach infrastruktury krytycznej, w tym w sektorze TRANSPORTU, a szczególnie transportu lotniczego, w ramach edukacji lotniczej.

The paper presents the results of the research of performance measurement of a selected aircraft type in the take-off phase under extreme temperature conditions. For this purpose, a flight simulator of the Cessna 172 RG aircraft from the ELITE Company was used. For the purpose of verifying the take-off run length, the article provides a measurement methodology that was developed using information obtained during experimental take-offs. The aim was to obtain a procedure that would allow for repeated take-off runs in the same conditions with the possibility of changing individual influencing factors. Considering the whole measurement chain, the article analyses the influencing factors and quantifies their impact on the uncertainty of the measurement result. The data obtained experimentally we compared with the data in the Flight Manual and at the end carried out the assessment of the impact of global warming on the take-off run of the Cessna 172 RG and generally on the safety of the take-off and on air transport.

Zajmuje ona wyjątkowe miejsce, zwłaszcza w kontekście zagadnień dotyczących bezpieczeństwa narodowego państwa. W artykule omówiono wiedzę i praktykę stosowaną na szczeblu krajowym w odniesieniu do agendy organizacji międzynarodowych.

The article presents an experimental exploration of the selected technical features of the Avigilon 2.0C-H4A-BO1-IR Compact Zoom Camera with IR Adaptive Illumination. The article describes the purpose, procedure, and results of the motion detection verification, as well as the identification of motion detection errors, using Avigilon's investigated camera, to the distance of guaranteed recognition capability in specific daylight conditions that determines video analysis. This article constitutes the first part of the internal research activity of the Department of Flight Preparation - pre-research, for the design of an integrated mobile airport security system. For safety reasons, the testing was performed near the airport and not at the airport. The test sample was obtained by using the Avigilon 2.0C-H4A-BO1-IR camera located 8 meters above the ground level in the direction of the selected perimeter of the "protected area" for the experiment. The movement in the space was made by people and the passage of motor vehicles at a distance that was less than the distance guaranteed by the camera's recognition capability in the specific daylight conditions. The movement of persons and motor vehicles was generally performed perpendicular to the position of the camera, left to right, and/or back. The speed of movement of people was, as a rule, an average walking speed of 1m/s, the motor vehicles ranging up to 40km /h. Identification of motion detection errors is important for corrections of the prepared information model of security risk assessment of a protected object based on the fuzzy logic to support the airport security management decisions, as well as for finding a technical solution to eliminate these camera vulnerabilities, or selecting and testing another camera for our mobile technology platform. The results advance our theoretical knowledge and have a praxeological significance for the creation of a technological demonstrator and subsequently a prototype of a smart mobile airport security system. Institutions responsible for the protection of state borders, the fight against illegal migration, smuggling of goods, etc. are also interested in mobile security solutions.

Flight personnel have various factors that cause high psychological stress during the performance of flight tasks, thereby influencing their psycho-physiological experience, which may be a cause of a breach of air traffic safety. The paper presents the results of an experimental verification of task management under load, which allowed selection of probands from a sample of 100 participants in the presurvey. Overall, 70% of the probands achieved better results than the minimum level of success of simulated and the complex tasks, 60%. The main aim of the experiment, the presurvey, is to verify and prepare a final version of sets of test tasks in the field of measuring the psychophysiological performance of the candidates for aviation personnel and to complete the creation of a technical device and the software tool for these processes. The software will be filed for the patent protection of copyrights and subsequently used for solving an approved research project supported by a grant from the Agency for Science and Research of the Slovak Republic.

The information technology models improving security functioning of crowdfunding platforms and advice on a new type of business were developed. The article solves the problem of safety of crowdfunding platform functioning based on developed models: rating assignment system of unified assessment crowdfunding platforms; startup projects assessment; startup projects risk assessment concerning their financing safety level and criminal law protection of investors against the financial fraud. The models are based on the correct usage of fuzzy logic and fuzzy set device to reveal the uncertainty of experts’ consideration that insures authenticity of scientific results.

Wizzair was the first low-cost airline to operate at Kosice Airport. From the beginning, it has shown exceptionally good results and the occupancy of its lines has been over 80%. The situation that took place in Vienna forced Wizzair to cancel the base in Kosice and to move the fleet to Vienna. Ryanair takes advantage of this change and enters the market with practically the same line as Wizzair from Kosice to London. The aim of this paper is to describe the situation at Kosice airport. The competitive fight between these two companies is visible from the very first moment when Ryanair introduced its flights at a much better price than Wizzair. The paper also focuses on the comparing these prices and fares as well as the profit over the period under review.
