Reliability engineering is widely applied in many technical areas. It is always used when we deal with utilisation of materials, constructed elements, subsystems, being parts of systems or entire objects. In geodesy issues related to reliability engineering have been introduced recently. They are connected with city vertical control networks. Those networks, considered as a "material" product, undergo the process of ageing. Researchers dealing with those issues apply reliability engineering to forecast the level of degradation of those networks. Such forecasts allow to commence certain efforts in order to maintain the quality of a network at the level which ensures it correct operations performed for economic purposes. Monitoring of vertical networks is important in order to ensure the safety of many building constructions. The basis for determination of displacements is to ensure the continuation of operation of the reference base in the designed control network. The paper will present analysis and proposals concerning utilisation of elements of reliability engineering for estimations of durability of reference bases and their comparison for utilisation in the process of forecasting the durability of city vertical control networks.

W ysokociśnieniowa iniekcja strumieniowa (jet grouting) jako technologia wykorzystywana do wzmacniania podłoża gruntowego i fundamentów znana jest w świecie od trzydziestu lat. W Polsce pierwsze zastosowania iniekcji strumieniowej przypadają na początek lat dziewięćdziesiątych. W artykule przedstawiono wykorzystanie iniekcji strumieniowej do wzmacniania posadowień istniejących obiektów budowlanych i podano przykłady zastosowań.

Referat prezentuje autorski projekt doświadczalny, przeprowadzony w pełnej skali technicznej, obejmujący terenowe badanie nośności pali formowanych iniekcją strumieniową. Badania przeprowadzono na specjalnie przygotowanym do tego celu poletku doświadczalnym. Celem doświadczenia była ocena jednostkowych oporów gruntu na pobocznicy badanych pali.

In the paper the axial load tests of jet grouting piles are presented. The tests were conducted in a full technical scale on instrumented grout piles. The purpose of experiment was to evaluate the unit shaft friction of testing piles.

The paper presents Ethrog`s method of finding errors in observation systems. The method is based on the results of preliminary adjustment made by the least squares method. In the geodetic milieu it`s not very popular but after comparing various methods it can be consudered one of the most effective. Its additional advantage is it`s intuitive approach to the problem and simple calculation formulas. In the course of a detailed analysis of the method`s effectiveness it was found that in networks with diverse values of inner reliability indices, even undisturbed observations can be suspected of gross errors. The paper presents the results of additional research on Ethorg`s method, its aim being to define the scope of its reliable functioning. The paper also contains numerical examples illustrating how the method functions and how effective it`s.

In this paper was done the loading test results surway of injected micropiles and "jet grouting"s piles. These loading tests have been done on the structure realized by "Geoservice" Company from Wrocław. On the basis of the received results, the axial stiffness of the piles was described and the measured settlements were compared with the analytical solutions.

Przedstawiono wyniki obliczeń (wg PN-83/B-02482) osiadań pali, formowanych metodą wysokociśnieniowej iniekcji strumieniowej "jet grouting". Porównano je z wartościami rzeczywistych osiadań, uzykanymi podczas próbnych obciążeń terenowych.

For "Jet Grouting" (high preassure stream injection) piles, the settlement calculation acc. to Polish Standard PN-83/B-02482 has been caried out and results have been compared with the real settlements resulted from field load tests.
