This paper presents a new analytical model of ATM node with bandwidth reservation. To this node a mixture of different multi-rate traffic streams, including multicast traffic, is offered. The model allows us to calculate the blocking probability for calls of all traffic classes. As example of calculations of a network node with three outgoing directions is given in the paper. The results of analytical calculations are compared with the data of digital simulations. The formulae derived in this paper can be used in the analysis of B-ISDN systems.
