The aim of this work is to present various types of filters, their capabilities and effectiveness for filtering of low voltage signals. A comparative analysis of examples was made for EEG signals using several filters, and then fitted with the best filter parameters for filtering electroencephalographic signals recorded with sampling frequency of 500 Hz.

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie różnych typów filtrów, ich możliwości i skuteczności w filtrowaniu sygnałów niskonapięciowych. Przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą przykładowych sygnałów EEG przy użyciu kilku filtrów, a następnie dobrano najlepsze parametry filtrów do filtrowania sygnałów elektroencefalograficznych rejestrowanych z częstotliwością próbkowania 500 Hz.

Praca dotyczy zastosowania metody wielokrokowej Geara oraz wybranych metod niejawnych IRK do rozwiązania układu równań różniczkowych zwyczajnych, opisujących obwód zawierający cewkę nieliniową.

The work concerns the application of the multistep Gear and selected IRK implicit methods to solve the system of ordinary differential equations describing a circuit containing non-linear coil. In this paper - model of the coil and its description with the use of selected state variables will also be presented. This paper will also show application for dynamics examination of the circuit written in C#, in which the following implicit RK methods were implemented: Radau IIA, Gauss-Legendre, Lobatto III C and the multistep method.

Introduction: The occurrence of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has significantly increased in the last few years. One of the common problems in this group are eating disorders and ailments from the gastrointestinal systems. According to some studies, these problems have a significant impact on the occurrence and severity of symptoms in the neurological system, so it is crucial to increase the attention paid on the role of diet in the treatment of this disease. One of the theories connects ASD with disorders of the digestive system and the intestinal bacterial flora. This theory is based on the gut-brain axis, which means the interaction between the gastrointestinal and nervous systems. Objectives: To demonstrate the differences in behavior habits, interest in nutrition, and frequency of consumption of food products between children suffering from ASD and healthy children. Materials and methods: The study was conducted among 44 children suffering from ASD and 33 healthy children as a control group. Data were collected using a questionnaire that was specially designed for this study. The questionnaire contained questions about eating habits and the frequency of consumption of selected food products. Results: Parents of healthy children showed more interest in their children’s way of feeding and nutritional recommendations compared to parents of children with ASD (4% and 11.3%, respectively). In addition, 24.3% more children with ASD consulted with a nutritionist compared to the control group. Complaints of the digestive system were 21.1% more likely by children with ASD. Children suffering from ASD were characterized by a higher intake of red meat and giblets and less frequent consumption of milk and milk products compared to the control group. There were no statistically significant differences between the study group and the control group in terms of frequency of consumption of products, which are the source of gluten, artificial food additives-preservatives, and artificial colors. Conclusions: There are differences in the habits and eating behaviors and the frequency of consumption of selected food products between a group of children with ASD and a group of healthy children.
In this work of an interdisciplinary character, the potential implementation of the humanoid robot NAO in regards of research on the lateralization phenomenon was presented. Some assumptions regarding the system for therapy on selected laterality disorders in children were presented. The NAO humanoid robot was implemented for the purpose of interaction with child in order to focus its attention and make him willing to make and repeat given exercises. It is particularly important for autistic children. Also the basics of the proposed LES (Lateralization Exercise System) system were presented, which could enable to apply the solution of varying components for the information exchange in human-robot system.

W artykule o charakterze interdyscyplinarnym zaproponowano użycie humanoidalnego robota NAO do wspomagania terapii lateralizacji.
In the hereby paper was shortly presented the application of Emotiv device in process of external environments control with the use of various bio-signals generated through human body, such as voice, face-mimic, eyes movements. The Emotiv device can be used inter alia also in various Human-Machine Interfaces or support people affected by motor disabilities.
In the following paper was presented double filtration of the EEG signals. The researched and analysed signals come from measurements conducted by the author of the hereof paper. The author will also hereby describe shortly one of the led experiments conducted inter alia at the Silesian University of Technology.
