The papers deal with capacity and strenght of forced-in joint basing on the gear-shaft joint of a car oil pump. Analytical model of the joint cosisting of a shaft and a sleeve instead of the gear nave has been assumed. Applyng that model capacity, states of stress and strain were calculated both theoretically as a Lame probem and by finite element method using ANSYS program. The results were compared and referenced to the experimental research [2]
