W artykule poruszono zagadnienia związane z zarządzaniem ryzykiem w transporcie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tego problemu w świadczeniu usług luksusowych. Istniejące w ramach tej działalności ryzyko wymaga wyjątkowo odpowiedzialnych działań zabezpieczających, ponieważ przedsiębiorstwa tego segmentu usług odpowiadają zarówno za wysokiej wartości własne, jak i cudze mienie. Dokonana została identyfikacja źródeł i przeprowadzono analizę różnego rodzaju zagrożeń oraz powodowanych nimi skutków, które często prowadzą do znaczących strat, a w szczególnych przypadkach nawet do utraty życia. W opracowaniu zwrócono uwagę na symptomy sygnalizujące możliwość powstawania ryzyka oraz wykazano działania umożliwiające niwelowanie lub zmniejszanie negatywnych skutków, co w istotnym stopniu przyczynia się do utrzymania oczekiwanego przez odbiorców jakościowego poziomu obsługi oraz ciągłości i terminowości procesu transportowego.

The article deals with issues related to risk management in transport, with particular emphasis on this problem in the provision of luxury services. Existing risk as part of this activity requires exceptionally responsible hedging activities, as companies in this segment of services are responsible for both high value of their own and for other people's property. The publication identifies sources and analyzes various types of threats and their consequences, which often lead to significant losses, and in some cases even loss of life. The study draws attention to the symptoms signaling the possibility of risk and demonstrates activities that allow reducing the negative effects, which significantly contributes to maintaining the quality of service expected by the recipients as well as the continuity and timeliness of the transport process.

Adaptation of the servqual method for testing the quality of passenger air services

The aim of the paper is to present the author’s attempt to adapt the Servqual Method to study the quality attributes of passenger air services. This market is witnessing a growing dynamic of competition intensity and a distinctive trend consisting of focusing on improving the quality of the most important determinants in basic areas of this business. The method of comprehensive evaluation of this process and its consequences on the Polish market has so far not been scientifically researched. The paper attempts to fill this gap. The proposed solution consists in the introduction of a new, previously unused, research method to the system of analysis, assessment and measurement of the air services quality, which constitutes a specific contribution to the science. Innovation of its application consists in a detailed reformatting of the Servqual Method and adaptation of both tested criteria and research areas to the nomenclature, specific requirements and conditions of this service sector. Using this method, it is possible to conduct a comprehensive range of tests taking into account the correctness, effectiveness of measurement, possibility of specifying the conclusions and recommendations as well as modernity of their implementation. The research questionnaire constructed by the author serves this purpose, in which the most important criteria and research areas of the discussed scope of services have been proposed.

Artykuł dotyczy aktualnego problemu, który można określić, jako poszukiwanie ekonomiczno-społecznych determinant umożliwiających zwiększenie ruchu turystycznego i jego efektywności na badanym obszarze. Problematyka dotyczy Zamościa, w którym zagadnienia dotyczące efektywnego zarządzania turystyką należą do priorytetowych. Celem opracowania jest zweryfikowanie i przybliżenie odbiorcy najcenniejszych walorów turystycznych tego regionu, jak i wskazanie najważniejszych uwarunkowań i źródeł determinujących lokalny rozwój turystyki oraz ekonomiczne i społeczne efekty związane z tym procesem. Ocenę oparto na aktualnych badaniach empirycznych, co zwiększa stopień przydatności opracowania do rozwiązania istotnych problemów z zakresu turystyki w mieście umieszczonym na Liście Dziedzictwa Światowego UNESCO.

The article deals with the current problem, which can be defined as the search for economic and social determinants that allow increasing tourist traffic and its effective in the studied area. Issues related to Zamość, in which the issues of effective tourism management are among the priority ones. The aim of the study is to verify and familiarize the recipient with the most valuable tourist values of this region, as well as to indicate the most important conditions and sources determining local tourism development as well as economic and social effects associated with this process. The assessment was based on current empirical research, which increases the usefulness of the study to solve significant problems in the field of tourism in the city placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
