Na bezpieczeństwo w ruchu drogowym składa się wiele czynników, jednym z nich są sprawność techniczna pojazdu i dyspozycja kierowcy. W artykule przedstawiono badania jakości płynu hamulcowego zrealizowane na wybranej grupie samochodów osobowych. W przeprowadzonych badaniach określano temperaturę wrzenia płynu hamulcowego oraz procentową zawartość wody w płynie. Wykazano, że regularna wymiana płynu hamulcowego jest konieczna, a jej optymalna częstotliwość zależy nie tylko od konstrukcji układu, ale przede wszystkim od jakości płynu.

The road traffic safety consists of many factors, one of them is technical performance of vehicle and disposition of driver. This paper presents research on the quality of the brake fluid conducted for a selected group of cars. The present study determined the boiling point of the brake fluid and the percentage of water in the fluid. It has been shown that regular replacement of brake fluid is required, and the optimum frequency depends not only on the design of the system, but also on the quality of the liquid.

The article deals with the issue of mathematical-statistical modelling of passengers demand for suburban bus transport. It is based on time sequences of additive type with linear trend component with monthly season rate. We have managed to create in the paper a short-term prognosis for the selected type of transport, with the aim to point out the justification of adding the random (residual) component into the model for creating the prognosis. For practical reasons a specific mass public transport provider has been selected to contribute necessary data in order to elaborate the study.

Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia matematyczno-statystyczne modelowanie zapotrzebowania pasażerów na podmiejski transport autobusowy. Analiza jest oparta na sekwencjach czasowych typu addytywnego ze składową trendu liniowego w miesięcznym przedziale czasowym. W pracy stworzono krótkoterminową prognozę dla wybranego środka transportu w celu uzasadnienia dodania losowej (rezydualnej) składowej do modelu dla potrzeb tworzenia prognozy. Dla celów praktycznych, autorzy wybrali konkretnego dostawcę usług transportu zbiorowego, który zapewnił dane niezbędne do przeprowadzenia analizy.

Measurement of fuel consumption of a road motor vehicle by outdoor driving testing

This paper presents the chosen significant parameters affecting vehicle fuel consumption during the vehicle operation. The conducted measurement results define important practical operational functions in the actual operation of the vehicle, which allows for further processing of the input data in order to measure fuel consumption in laboratory tests. The proposal of the methodology for measuring the fuel consumption based on actual operation conditions in the city of Žilina and its surroundings was shown.

This paper presents the development and genesis of the use of alternative fuels in internal combustion ignition engines. Based on the analysis of the literature, this article shows various alternative fuels used in Poland and all over the world. Furthermore, this article describes the research directions for alternative fuels use in road transport powered by diesel engines.
