W artykule przedstawiłam rolę i znaczenie ojca w wychowaniu i życiu młodzieży począwszy od czasów starożytnych do czasów współczesnych. Wskazałam na różne aspekty ojcostwa, na rolę jaką odgrywa on w zakresie rozwoju umysłowego, seksualnego i moralnego dziecka. Te teoretyczne rozważania stanowią wstęp do analizy wyników badań przeprowadzonych wśród uczniów gimnazjum. Na ich podstawie wskazałam na cechy ojca rzeczywistego i idealnego w opinii badanej młodzieży.

In the article I have presented the role and the importance of father in the life and in the process of education of yang people since the ancient times to modern times. I pointed to different aspects of fatherhood, on its role it plays in the development of mental sexual and moral interest of the child These theoretical considerations constitute on introduction to the analysis of the result of the surveys carried out among students in high schools. On the basis of the surveys I have analyzed the characteristic of an actual and ideal father ( in the opinion of the yang people).
