Statistics of modal parameters extracted from measured data

The paper deals with estimation of modal parameters from measured data. Mean values and standard deviations were calculated from measurements in different points on the measured structure. Comparison of modal parameters extracted under different boundary conditions was carried out. In order to increase the reliability of such type of measurements and evaluation, three pieces of the test specimen were measured, that differ only by manufacturing tolerances.

The paper deals with experimental modal analysis of bogie frames, types Y25 and AXLE MOTION. The measurement method, equipment used and the obtained results are described here. On the base of the results, assessment of the dynamie properties of both types of bogies is carried out from the point of view of vibration transfer and the possible source of acoustic emission.

W artykule przedstawiono eksperymentalną analizę modalną ram wózków typu Y25 oraz AXLE MOTION. Opisano metodę pomiarową, zastosowaną aparaturę oraz zamieszczono otrzymane wyniki. Na podstawie tych wyników dokonano oszacowania własności dynamicznych obu rodzajów wózków z punktu widzenia przenoszenia drgań oraz możliwych źródeł emisji akustycznych.

In the formerly performed research, it was found out during the evaluation of vibration damper efficiency on acoustic emission level with random excitation, that in the lower frequency bands, an increased acoustic emission occurred using plate dampers. This paper, on the base of experimental modal analysis of the damper's vibration, deals with possible causes of this unfavourable phenomenon

W poprzednio przeprowadzonych badaniach stwierdzono na podstawie oceny efektywności eliminatora drgań na emisję akustyczną układu z losowym wymuszeniem, że w niższym zakresie częstotliwości następował wzrost emisji akustycznej przy zastosowaniu eliminatorów tarczowych. W artykule omówiono możliwe przyczyny tego niekorzystnego zjawiska bazując na wynikach eksperymentalnej analizy modalnej.

Traditional methods of damping measurements involved the use of sinusoidal signals for excitation of the test specimen. With the coming of dual channel real-time analyzers, wide-band random excitation can be conveniently used to excite and measure the response of the test specimens simultaneously, whereby considerable time savings can be achieved. The precision of the complex modulus and damping measurements using non-resonant method is evaluated.

Tradycyjne metody pomiaru tłumienia posługują się dla wymuszenia sygnałem o przebiegu sinusowym. Wraz z pojawieniem się dwukanałowego analizatora w czasie rzeczywistym zaczęto powszechnie używać szerokozakresowego przypadkowego wymuszenia w parze z równoczesnym pomiarem reakcji próbki, co z kolei umożliwia znaczne zaoszczędzenie czasu. Dokładność pomiaru modułu całościowego i tłumienia metodą nierezonancyjną rozpatrywana jest w poniższym artykule.
