Currently many research centers are interested in negative impact of the environment on the strength of geosynthetics. Geosynthetics are exposed to adverse conditions during construc-tion stage and exploatation. Increased temperature changes thermal properties of geosynthetics, which have a significant impact on their functional characteristics of muscle polymers. The paper presents the methodology and results of analyses obtained from laboratory tests for high strength polyester woven geotextiles in main direction at temperatures from -20 to 80 °C. The aim of research was to determine the effect of temperature on the strength and strain of the geosynthetic.
