Od 2005 roku w resorcie obrony narodowej dokonano kilku prób doskonalenia wdrożonych rozwiązań w zakresie poprawy funkcjonowania systemu pozyskiwania sprzętu wojskowego (SpW), stawiając za cel w szczególności jego uproszczenie, a przez to poprawę efektywności. Zasadniczym mankamentem podejmowanych działań naprawczych był jednak brak wskazywania wymiernych celów doskonalenia systemu pozyskiwania SpW oraz sposobu oceny ich stopniowego osiągania. Pomimo, że nastąpiła istotna zmiana jakościowa w zakresie funkcjonowania sytemu pozyskiwania SpW jednak nadal ten obszar wymaga doskonalenia i wprowadzania kolejnych zmian.

Since 2005, in the Ministry of National Defense, several attempts have been made to improve the acquisition system, aiming in particular at simplifying it and thus improving efficiency. However, the main drawback of the corrective actions taken was the lack of indicating quantifiable goals of improving the acquisition system and the method of assessing their gradual attainment. Although there has been a significant qualitative change in the functioning of the acquisition system, this area still needs improvement and subsequent changes.

Na zakończenie przedstawiono ścieżkę, którą należy przejść oraz dane, jakie należy zebrać, aby cały proces dał pozytywny rezultat.
