Supersolid is a state of matter where both diagonal and off-diagonal long-range orders are present. Physically it means that supersolids possess the crystallographic long-range positional order but they can move like a superfluid, i.e. they can flow without viscosity. In other words, supersolids support both the shear wave of the crystal and the superflow. We provide here a short introduction into the theory of supersolids and summarize current experiments.
