In this paper the polynomial mapping of two complex variables having one zero at infinity is considered. Unlike with Keller mapping, if determinant of the Jacobian of this mapping is constant then it must be zero.

In the present paper, a problem of free vibration of a double-walled nanotubes system is considered. The nanotubes of the system are coupled by an arbitrary number of elastic rings. The Green’s functions method was used to obtain a solution to the problem. Numerical results are presented graphically.

In this paper, a problem of transverse free vibration of a double-nanobeam-system is considered. The nanobeams of the system are coupled by an arbitrary number of translational springs. The solution of the problem by using the Green’s functions properties is obtained. A numerical example is presented.

This paper presents a solution to the free vibration problem of a system of two cantilever nanobeams. The nanobeams of the system are axially loaded and coupled by discrete translational springs. The solution of the problem by using the Green’s function method has been obtained. A numerical example shows the effect of the small scale on free vibration frequencies of the nanobeam system considered.

In this paper a solution to the problem of the free longitudinal vibration of a double-nanorod-system (DNRS) is presented. The nanorods of the system are coupled by many translational springs. The clamped-clamped and clamped-free boundary conditions are employed. The problem of vibration is solved by using the Green’s function method. The natural frequencies were numerically calculated.

Optimization of the dogboning phenomenon of the coronary artery stent is the aim of the paper. The mathematical model for the slotted tube stent is formulated with the finite element analysis based on a parametric geometric model of stent. Some of the mechanical properties are examined: the expanding pressure, plastic strain, foreshortening and dogboning. This paper is focused on determination of the optimal parameters for lowest dogboning.

An analysis of influence of supporting rollers on the vibration of slab in continuous casting of steel was carried out in the paper. The equation of motion for the slab taking into account effect of supporting rollers was formulated. An analysis of results obtained numerically was also made. The results were presented graphically.

In this paper the motion of the slab has been analysed. The equation of motion for the slab was solved numerically. The stability of the obtained solutions was determined with regard to the dependence of the casting speed and the intensity of heat exchange in the primary and secondary cooling zone.

Zaproponowany w pracy model układu wlewek-krystalizator pozwolił na uwzględnienie w analizie stanu przemieszczenia wlewka takich nowych elementów jak: źparametry ruchu krystalizatora (częstość i amplituda drgań), źprędkość wyciągania wlewka, źwarunki oddziaływania krystalizatora na wlewek (współczynnik tarcia spoczynkowego i kinetycz nego). Na podstawie wykonanych obliczeń wyznaczono przemieszczenia wlewka wywołane oscylującym krystalizatorem oraz przeprowadzono analizę wpływu parametrów procesu COS na ten ruch i ocenę znaczenia wartości tych parametrów dla przebiegu procesu COS i jakości produktu końcowego

The analysis of experimental measurements is sometimes difficult, if the registered data are superimposed be noisy signals. The source of such noise is often the improper sensitivity calibration of measuring devices. Sometimes, such data are even useless for the further analysis. Therefore, the goal of the present paper is an attempt of application of two different filtering techniques, including the artificial intelligence methods (artificial neural networks) to the filtering of the noisy experimental data. Examples of filtering results using described techniques are presented.

W pracy analizowano wpływ sił tarcia spoczynkowego jak i kinetycznego pomiędzy wlewkiem i ruchomym krystalizatorem. Wykazano istotną rolę współczynnika tarcia spoczynkowego, który wraz ze wzrostem zwiększa przemieszczenia oraz stan naprężenia wlewka.

In this paper the influence of the static and kinetic friction forces to displacement and state of stresses in the continuous slab casting has been analysed. These friction forces caused by the motion ofthe mould. The displacement and the state of stresses increase with the static coefficient of friction.

The paper provides analysis of the stress in solidified ingot, caused by the constant and oscillation force. This force is an effect of by the harmonic mold oscillation. The state of stresses for the slab in the mold area have been taken into account.
