Niniejszy artykuł opisuje projekt oraz technologię wykonania wiaduktu drogowego WD-2A nad drogą ekspresową S7. Autorzy dowodzą, że ta pozornie typowa konstrukcja zespolona stalowo-żelbetowa ze względu na ukształtowanie łącznicy WOT-4, w ramach której znajduje się obiekt WD-2A, okazała się niezwykle interesującym zadaniem zarówno w wymiarze projektowym, jak i samej realizacji.

This article describes the design and technology of the viaduct WD-2A above the expressway S7. The authors argue that this seemingly typical design of composite steel-reinforced concrete structure was a very interesting task regarding both design and implementation due to formation of junction WOT-4.

Each case requires individual analysis preceded by thorough identifi cation of geological structure including determination of physical and mechanical soil parameters and precise definition of water conditions. Economic reasons should not be the determinant for applying temporary safeguards. It is absolutely necessary to avoid the use of combined systems improving embankment structure stability. In the analysed case, successive stages involved partial exchange of embankment structure soil, strengthening with gravel and gravel-cement columns, and using earth support slope strengthened with cribwork made of old usable sleepers.
