The analysis of the production processes automation phenomenon in enterprises operating in Poland is the object of the presented chapter. The current state of automation of production processes has been also evaluated. The data presented in the chapter come from all types of analyses, reports and statistical data. The results of the analysis confirm that not only the production processes automation level of enterprises in Poland increases, but it also affects the flexibility of the production processes and the product quality improvement as well as financial effects of enterprises. In conclusion, authors underline that there are some barriers in the production processes automation implementing.

International exchanges programs are one of the most important directions of contemporary European universities development. The quality level of the international exchange of students and academic staff determines not only the quality level of the education, but it also creates directions of the future research through the prism of international cooperation between universities and students. Papers presents research findings on the international exchange students’ mobility under Erasmus+ programme between Polish and Czech universities in 2000 – 2014. The main objective of the research is to identify the most important elements of the Erasmus+ mobility results as advantages and disadvantages of the international cooperation between analyzed countries.

Consumer way of life, constantly acquiring material goods and their accumulation in the environment have created great imbalances, which has resulted in a present or an anticipated lack of natural resources, water, soil and air pollution or environmental pollution as such. Nowadays situation is alarming and this is the reason to change behaviour of current population and replace it with alternatives more favourable to the environment. For this reason, the European Union begins to apply the principles of re-use of scarce resources and streamlining production processes. One of these processes should be gradual application of circular economy, which is based on constant circulation of resources, resulting not only to reduce waste, but also to reduce production costs, increase employment opportunities etc. However, the transition to a circular economy requires participation on it by various organizations and individuals. For example, companies can make changes to a rebuilding of the complete supply chain for effective using of resources. Similarly, customers can adapt their buying behaviour and search only products produced by companies professed philosophy of circular economy. The aim of the work is based on the available empirical data and secondary research outline view of the circular economy as well as the application of the various principles of circular economy in practice.

Many enterprises face the issue with increasing own overhead cost and take an effort to reduce it, what is a base for using of outsourcing principles. Outsourcing is primarily used as a strategic tool for corporate resources optimizing. Enterprises decide to remove some supporting activities to external units, which can be provided with ensuring a higher quality and lower costs. These decisions result in increasing attention to a core business orientation and costs reduction. The main purpose of the paper is the cost savings quantification, what is supported by the research results focused on the use and the possibilities of outsourcing in Slovakian SMEs. There was proposed a general model for an economic efficiency evaluation for potential use of the outsourcing through determination of expected costs savings as a result of the research study.

Wiele przedsiębiorstw napotyka na problemy dotyczące wzrastających kosztów własnych i podejmuje wysiłek na rzecz ich redukcji, co stanowi podstawę do zastosowania zasad outsourcingu w przedsiębiorstwie. Outsourcing jest wykorzystywany przede wszystkim, jako strategiczne narzędzie optymalizacji zasobów korporacyjnych. Przedsiębiorstwa decydują się na wyłączenie niektórych obszarów pomocniczych do prowadzenia przez jednostki zewnętrzne, które mogą być świadczone przy zapewnieniu wysokiej jakości niskich kosztach. Decyzje te skutkują zwiększoną uwagą na podstawowej orientacji biznesowej oraz redukcją kosztów. Głównym celem pracy jest identyfikacja oszczędności kosztowych, co poparto wynikami badań ukierunkowanych na wykorzystanie i możliwości outsourcingu w słowackim sektorze MŚP. Zaproponowano ogólny model oceny efektywności ekonomicznej dla potencjalnego wykorzystania outsourcingu poprzez wyznaczane spodziewanych oszczędności kosztowych, jako rezultat pracy badawczej.

The article presents achievements of selected manufacturers of wooden energy-efficient houses who use prefabrication technology in the context of building construction and interior innovation.

Jedną z najczęściej wykorzystywanych technologii we współczesnym budownictwie drewnianym jest technologia prefabrykatu drewnianego, którego zalety decydują o wysokim poziomie energooszczędności. W artykule przedstawiono analizę technologii stosowanych przez wybranych producentów drewnianych domów energooszczędnych w kontekście innowacyjności bryły oraz wnętrza budynków.

Work safety conditions are one of the most important issue that affects the product quality and manufacturing processes organization. The aim of the study is the analysis of chosen enterprise in terms of work safety conditions and identification of improvement actions. Study presented in the paper was conducted for the selected work position involved in the production process rolled steel bar. Owing to analysis of work safety conditions in the chosen enterprise factors of production process improvement were determined in the presented research findings.

Warunki bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy są jednym z najważniejszych kwestii, które mają wpływ na jakość produktu oraz organizację procesów produkcyjnych. Celem badań jest analiza wybranego przedsiębiorstwa pod względem warunków bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy oraz identyfikacja działań doskonalących. Badania przedstawione w artykule zostały przeprowadzone dla wybranego stanowiska pracy związanego z procesem produkcji pręta walcowanego. Dzięki analizie warunków bezpieczeństwa i higieny pracy w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie ustalono czynniki doskonalenia procesu produkcji.

The aim of the article is to show how the e-business tools are used by Polish professional musicians both in their vocational and private live. The base was a research made by the author for purpose of diploma thesis in 2014. There were several research methods used: panel discussions, overview of a different literature, interviews and finally a questionnaire filled by 50 students and graduated from different Polish music academies, e.g. from Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Kraków, Katowice, Warszawa, Wrocław and Poznań. By the research the author is to check which e-business tools are used by professional musicians, in which way, for which purposes and how do this tool influence the vocational and private life of respondents. By the questionnaire was investigated what is a consideration of possibilities and interest of e-business tools of professional musicians. Based on this research there are presented some conclusions and perspectives both for a professional musician and the cultural managers.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie, w jaki sposób narzędzia e-biznesowe są wykorzystywane przez polskich zawodowych muzyków zarówno w celach zawodowych, jak i prywatnych. Podstawą artykułu są badania przeprowadzone w 2014 roku na potrzeby pracy dyplomowej. Wśród metod badawczych zastosowano między innymi dyskusje panelowe, wywiady, przegląd literatury oraz kwestionariusz wypełniony przez 50 studentów i absolwentów polskich akademii muzycznych z Łodzi, Bydgoszczy, Krakowa, Katowic, Warszawy i Poznania. Badania ukazują, które narzędzia e-biznesowe znajdują zastosowanie wśród zawodowych muzyków, w jaki sposób są wykorzystywane i jaki jest ich wpływ zarówno na zawodowe, jak i prywatne życie artystów. Poprzez kwestionariusz zbadany został sposób postrzegania oraz poziom zainteresowania narzędziami e-biznesowymi wśród profesjonalnych muzyków. Na tej podstawie zostały wyciągnięte wnioski i zaprezentowane potencjalne perspektywy zarówno dla zawodowych muzyków, jak i managerów kultury.

Zwiększenie udziału odnawialnych źródeł energii w produkcji energii elektrycznej ze względu na ich zależność od pogody, zmienne zapotrzebowanie na energię w czasie, a także ochrona środowiska wymusza zmianę podejścia do zarządzania systemem elektroenergetycznym i wprowadzanie nowych rozwiązań. W artykule przedstawiono możliwości zarządzania energią i jej efektywniejszego wykorzystanie poprzez zastosowanie magazynów energii. Omówiono kryteria magazynowania i wybrane formy magazynowania energii elektrycznej. Zwrócono uwagę na niektóre istotne wady i zalety wymienionych magazynów energii elektrycznej. Podkreślono, iż nie istnieje jedna, uniwersalna metoda magazynowania energii elektrycznej i równolegle należy rozwijać różne technologie magazynowania, by odpowiadały na zróżnicowane potrzeby.

The main purpose of this article is a brief presentation of the conception of the new media in contrast to the traditional media, such as press, the radio and television. The author follows to show the advantages of the new media as devices in interpersonal communication, information distribution, shaping of viewpoints, entertainment. The new media are also a stimulus to take social actions. The article shortly presents the main ideas of Corporate Social Responsibility and its influence on business actions taken to contribute to increasing social awareness and benefits coming from such actions taken by companies and global corporations.

Głównym celem poniższego artykułu jest ogólna charakterystyka nowych mediów oraz wymienienie cech, które odróżniają je od tzw. mediów tradycyjnych, wykazując obszary do których nowe media są w stanie dotrzeć skuteczniej. Autor stara się także zwięźle scharakteryzować wybrane zagadnienia CSR Corporate Social Responsibility, które są istotne dla budowania nowoczesnej gospodarki, polityki społecznej oraz polityki ekologicznej. Wskazuje także informacyjną oraz stymulującą rolę nowych mediów w wspieraniu działań polityki CSR oraz podaje wybrane działania w ramach CSR podejmowane przez firmy i globalne korporacje.

The purpose of this paper is to provide the overview of current education management situation in Vietnam from the past until now. The paper summarized the definition of quality management and pointed out clearly the weaknesses of Vietnam education’s system. Paper includes recommendations and suggestions are proposed to improve the current situation. Paper as a result of cooperation between the Polish teacher and Vietnamese student, who was on the Czech university within the international students’ exchange program, includes student’s reflections on Vietnamese higher education quality.

W artykule podsumowano definicję zarządzania jakością w edukacji i wskazano wyraźnie słabości systemu edukacji w Wietnamie. Artykuł zawiera również zalecenia i sugestie proponowane w celu poprawy obecnej sytuacji. Artykuł jako rezultat współpracy polskiego pracownika naukowo – dydaktycznego oraz studentki z Wietnamu, która przebywała na czeskiej uczelni w ramach międzynarodowego programu wymiany studenckiej zawiera refleksje wietnamskiej studentki na temat jakości nauczania w szkolnictwie wyższym.

The aim of this research is to determine the main factors affecting activity of small and medium sized enterprises in the Azerbaijan market and analysis of its situation through collected data. The method used in the research will be conducted as an interview (online). Literature-based findings were essentially the factors that hampered the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan in a few different areas. There was identified a list of problems related to SMEs development connected with access to financial resources, problems in the application of internet technologies, relationship between the character of the enterprise and the character of the operator,outside environment, cultural differences, problems in strategy determining.

Celem tych badań jest określenie głównych czynników wpływających na działalność małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw na rynku Azerbejdżanu i analiza ich sytuacji w kontekście zebranych danych. Wywiad stanowił podstawową metodę zastosowaną w niżej zaprezentowanych badaniach. Zaprezentowano listę problemów związanych z rozwojem małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw w Azerbejdżanie związanych z: dostępem do zasobów finansowych, problemami w stosowaniu technologii internetowych, zależnością między charakterem przedsiębiorstwa a charakterem operatora, środowiskiem zewnętrznym, różnicami kulturowymi, problemami w określaniu strategii.

The purpose, methodology, main findings, the originality of the subject area (research), way of using. The main research analysis purpose is a presentation, an assessment and an interpretation of the research findings on the machines maintenance conditions in the plastic industry. The research analysis was carried out with applying Technology ABC method and TPM coefficients calculations connected with Techno pak machine components maintenance. The research was carried out in the chosen manufacturing enterprise of the plastic industry. Research findings interpretation results have been introduced in the analyzed enterprise in the form of the manufacturing processes improvement.

The organization constant improvement process is possible using a step by step method. The self-learning organization and continuous improvement of the organization's culture guarantees achievement of good market results and raising competitiveness. This paper aims to identify and analyze the ratings importance level for the production process factors in order for the manufacturing process to improve in the chosen construction company. The study used an innovative research method BOST, which refers to the Toyota management principles in the production and the service organizations. As a result of research the ratings differentiation importance level for the production process factors was achieved which provides a basis for the process of the analyzed company to improve.

W warunkach zaostrzającej się w gospodarce światowej walki konkurencyjnej problemy jakości nabierają nowego znaczenia. Systemy zarządzania jakością zgodne z normami ISO 9001 stały się w ostatnich latach tak popularne, że w wielu branżach trudno sobie wręcz wyobrazić działanie bez odpowiedniego certyfikatu. Celem analizy w poniższym artykule jest udowodnienie, że pomimo tego, iż opracowanie i wdrożenie systemów jakości w przedsiębiorstwie spedycyjnym, jest procesem długotrwałym i kosztownym, to jednak dla funkcjonujących firm jest warunkiem niezbędnym dla dalszego ich rozwoju. W artykule zaprezentowano pokrótce proces wdrożenia systemu jakości w wybranej firmie transportowo-spedycyjnej.

Quality problems are picking new meaning up in conditions in conditions of the rivalry sharpening in the world economy. Quality management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 norms became so popular in the last years that so popular that it is hard acting without the appropriate certificate in many businesses. The aim of analysis in the article is proving is, that in spite of it, that working out and implementing quality systems in the freight forwarding enterprise is a long-drawn-out and expensive process, however it is an essential condition for more distant of enterprises development. In the article briefly a process of introducing the quality system in the chosen freight forwarding enterprise was introduced.

Przesycone są one kolorami lub po prostu szare, o przeróżnej wielkości i kształcie. Mają przyciągać uwagę klienta. W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe funkcje i role opakować stosowanych obecnie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem opakowań tekturowych. Przedstawiony zostanie także proces produkcji opakowań z tektury falistej na przykładzie pudełek klapowych.

It is difficult to imagine buying a finished product without a packaging. Nowadays the packaging is an inseparable part of each product. They are full of colors or just grey, of various sizes and shapes. They have to attract customers. In the paper main function and roles of packagings currently used, with particular emphasis on paperboard packagings, are presented. Production process of paperboard packagings on the example of a flap box is also presented.
