The article attempts to discuss the problems related to the completion of recultivation of the post-mining sulphur mine in Piaseczno, Łoniów commune, Sandomierz poviat, Świętokrzyskie, resulting from the proper completion of the process of liquidation of the effects of the activities of the former “Piaseczno” Sulphur Mine. An attempt to indicate how to solve the problem, the need for cooperation between state and local government bodies and obtaining appropriate financial resources for this purpose. Threats resulting from failure to implement the drainage system, failure to provide public funds for this purpose, lack of legal solutions for the entity that will build this system and without indicating the entity that will be responsible for its maintenance and operation after construction is completed.
