The article presents the preliminary results of tests of composite wood and concrete beams subjected to constant load for a period of about 75 days. The results of the research should allow to determine material properties for concrete, wood and the contact stiffness for the viscoelastic model.

Przedstawiono wyniki analizy badań eksperymentalnych statycznych, dynamicznych i ultradźwiękowych. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników badań wyznaczono postęp degradacji podstawowych parametrów określających globalną sztywność belki pod cyklicznym i zwiększającym się obciążeniem statycznym, aż do osiągnięcia stanu granicznego nośności.

The results of analysis of experimental tests static, dynamic and ultrasonic for composite wood-concrete beam in a natural scale are presented in the paper. On the basis of obtained results a progress of basic parameters determining the degradation stiffness of beam was determined under cyclic and increasing static load, until the ultimate limit state was reached.

The article presents the experimental study on the stiffness performance of composite T cross-section wood-concrete beam. A 4-point bending test stand armed with 13 LVDT sensors and 2 accelerometers was prepared for the purposes of the experiment. The multistep test allowed to collect data (either on the basis of static and dynamic tests) on the basis of what a development of structural damage in the beam could be observed indirectly.

The article presents a technique for determining slips in push-out composite wood and concrete samples by means of a digital camera. The presented analysis uses also the Matlab environment for processing the recorded images of tested samples.

The article presents the results of multistep four point bending test of timber-concrete composite beam. The construction element was cyclically and statically loaded and unloaded with the maximal value increasing in the subsequent cycles. During the loading cycles deflections, curvatures and interlayer slips of beam and between the cycles frequencies of its free vibrations were measured. The measurements allowed to state that a structural degradation of beam and related to it a decrease of beam stiffness started at load equal to 20% of total load capacity. Moreover it was found out basing on the direct measurements of curvatures of beam layers that they differed considerably also starting from the same level of load.

The paper shows possibilities in testing composite two-layer beams with flexible connectors offered by an analysis of their natural frequencies. It enables an estimation of shear compliance for the interlayer connection if Young’s moduli of layers are known thanks to finding the global minimum of error function for model and measured natural frequencies of beam. The considerations are illustrated by the results of own laboratory-tests.

The article presents advantages offered by the modal analysis in diagnostics of wood-concrete composite beams. It enables estimating stiffness of a sheared connection between a wooden rib and concrete slab of beam and vertical stiffness of supports if the other mechanical properties of beam are known. The presented considerations are supported by the experimental results obtained for the full scale beam.

A method estimating normal and shearing stresses in the rib of combined woodenferroconcrete floor is presented in the work. The layered linear viscoelastic beam is assumed as a model for the floor rib what enables in the simple way taking into account an influence of different creep rates of wood and concrete on an effort of floor elements.
