Content available remote Tribological properties of selected ceramic coatings

The contribution deals with methods of plasma sprayed ceramic materials evaluation. There were evaluated ceramic coatings A 99, Cr2O3 and Cr2O3 + 5% TiO2. Influence of the interlayer NiCr on the functional properties of sprayed coatings was also studied. There were determined thickness, microhardness and adhesion of particular coatings together with their resistance to abrasive wear and thermal cyclic loading.

In the paper results of metallographic analyses of joints made by MIG brazing on high strength galvanized steel sheets of H 340LAD + Z EN 10292 are presented. The quality of brazed joints made by SG CuAl8 braze with fluctuating welding rectifier CLOOS 303 MC4 was evaluated. Argon 4,80 was used as gaseous shield. Soldering joints quality was evaluated by destructive testing. The bearing capacity joints were evaluated by STN EN ISO 895 and STN EN 1321. Macrostructure and microstructure analyze of joints were realized too.

Content available remote The causes of failures in resistance spot welding of car body sheets

The paper deals with analyzing of defects of resistance spot welds, which mostly occur in welding of materials used in car body production. The defects were evaluated with destructive and non-destructive tests. A non-destructive method was a visual control of weld surfaces of lapped joints. Metallographical analysis of weld joints on scratch patterns was used as a destructive method. The influence of welding parameters on dimensions of weld nuggets was observed with light microscopy. The defects in weld and heat affected zone were documented too. The influence of surface treatment of car body sheets on occurring of defects was evaluated with chemical EDX analysis. EDX analysis was also used for evaluation of weld joints surfaces and for evaluation of influence of weld tips marks on surface quality.

The paper deals with the influence of welding parameters of resistance spot welding on the quality of welded joints. Joints were made with combination orgahanized steel sheets DX51D + Z (EN 10142/2000) and TRIP 40/70 + Z100MBO. It is an advanced material combination frequently used in designing car body parts. For evaluation of joints quality the shear tension test on spot joints according to DIN 50 124 standard was used. The basic mechanical properties of welded joints were evaluated. Some samples were prepared for metallographic analysis where the influence of the welding parameters on the structure of welded joint was observed. We also observed the influence of welding parameters on the dimensions of the weld nugget, as well as the occurrence of pores in the weld metal caused by evaporation of zinc from the coating. Hardness was evaluated on metallographic scratch patterns according to STN EN 1043-2 standard.

Content available remote Hard surfacing repairing layers in erosive wear process

The contribution deals with evaluation of tribological properties of two types three-layer hard surfacing claddings with various structural bases. There were used samples made out from S235JRG2 EN10025-94 as reference material. Within the frame of experimental works there was realised metallographic analysis, measuring of hardness and micro-hardness of claddings before and after erosive wear loading. Erosive wear was evaluated by simulation of erosive action. Aim of research was to determine influence of erosive particle impact angle and structural composition of claddings on their wear resistance.

The contribution presents results of research aimed on evaluation of spot welds quality formed by resistance spot welding at zinc-coated sheets joiing processes. There were determined electrochemical properties of materials with help of linear voltammetry. Change of spot weld strength was evaluated before and after their exposure in selected corrosive media.

The contribution deals with repairing of converter hoods by thermal spraying technique. There were used two types of sprayed wires - formerly used NiCr and new filled wire marked as DURMAT. Microhardness of thermally sprayed coatings was measured by Vickers indenter, wear resistance of coatings was checked by erosion test simulated by abrasive grit blasting. EDX analysis proved presence of particular structural phases. Higher microhardness values were found in DURMAT coating and this property conduced to higher wear resistance of this coating in comparison with previously used NiCr coating. Reached results showed, that new coating marked DURMAT-AS-761 proved better properties in comparison with previously used coating from point of view of chemical composition, microhardness and also erosive wear evaluation.

W artykule przedstawiono technologię regeneracji pokryw konwerterów poprzez nanoszenie cieplne warstwy wierzchniej. W badaniach stosowano dwa rodzaje materiału: NiCr oraz drut z rdzeniem oznaczony DURMAT. Pomiary mikrotwardości nanoszonych powłok wykonywano za pomocą próby Vickersa, natomiast pomiary zużycia erozyjnego zrealizowano poprzez czyszczenie strumieniowo-ścierne. Analiza EDX nałożonej powierzchni wykazała występowanie wyodrębnionych faz strukturalnych. Powłoki DURMAT-AS-761, w porównaniu z dotychczas stosowanymi pokryciami NiCr, wykazały wyższą mikrotwardość oraz odporność na zużycie ścierne.

The work deals with material analyses of welding tips for resistance spot welding. Microstructures of most used alloys of Cu for welding electrodes of resistance spot welding were evaluated. Alloys of CuCr1Zr, CuCoBe and CuBe2 are used for spot welding electrodes. In the article, analysis of influence of alloying elements and production technology of the alloys on final properties of electrode materials is presented. The producers concentrate on receive the maximum lifetime of welding tips on which many factors have influence during welding process.

Artykuł dotyczy analizy materiału końcówek elektrod do punktowego zgrzewania oporowego. Zostały ocenione mikrostruktury większości używanych stopów Cu na elektrody do punktowego zgrzewania oporowego. Stopy CuCr1Zr, CuCoBe i CuBe2 używane są na elektrody do zgrzewania. W artykule przedstawiono analizę wpływu pierwiastków stopowych i technologii produkcji tych stopów na końcowe własności materiałów elektrod. Producenci koncentrują swe wysiłki, na osiągnięciu maksymalnej żywotności końcówek roboczych elektrod podczas procesu zgrzewania, na którą ma wpływ wiele czynników.

The contribution deals with metallographic analyses of welding tip materials and workpieces used in their production. Microstructures of in practice most used alloys Cu for welding electrodes of resistance spot welding are evaluated. Alloys of CuCr1Zr, CuCoBe and CuBe2. Analyses of influence of alloying elements and production technology of the alloys on final properties of electrode materials are presented. The effort of producers is the maximum lifetime of welding tips on which many factors have influence during welding process. Used welding mode, material properties of the tips, technology of their production, sort and surface treatment of welded materials and so on.

The contribution deals with the influence of welding electrode tips deformation on their lifetime. The influence of material properties, production technology and the intensity of welding electrodes load on their lifetime are presented. The electrode tips of the most used type of CUCr1Zr alloy of three basic standard shapes before and after the process of welding are evaluated. The process of welding is realized with low, middle and maximum welding parameters on programmable pneumatic spot welding machine VTS BPK 20. The influence of welding parameters on chosen material characteristics of welding tips is observed. Through the use of upsetting test, dependency of forming strength and deformation of material on used technology of welding tip production is observed.
