The paper presents the possibilities of application of ultrasounds in wet textile processes and particularly in scouring processes. The first attempts of ultrasound scouring were carried out on the delicate alpaca fibres with the use of special adapted device of POLSONIC Company. Positive results were obtained and the techniques of scouring of these fibres on the industrial scale was developed (implementation 2011) The investigation in the Research Institute POLMATEX CENARO on the scouring of delicate textile products (silk) on the SONIC-14 device was carried out with the positive results. The initial attempts of scouring, i.e. handkerchiefs and scarves made of natural silk were made. These products did not undergo damages after scouring process and were kept initial shape and structure. Very good quality and effectiveness of scouring was obtained, too.
