W artykule omówione zostały elementarne kwestie dotyczące audytu wewnętrznego, przedstawiono również narzędzia zarządzania jakością takie jak diagram Pareto-Lorenza oraz diagram Ishikawy. Przeprowadzone analizy pozwoliły na zidentyfikowanie najbardziej istotnych wad występujących w produkowanych wyrobach. Pogłębiona analiza najczęściej występującej niezgodności jaką są przebarwienia pozwoliła określić przyczyny jej powstawania oraz zaproponować odpowiednie działania naprawcze.

The article discusses elementary issues related to internal audit, also presents quality management tools such as the Pareto-Lorenz diagram and the Ishikawa diagram. The analyzes carried out allowed to identify the most significant defects found in the manufactured products. An in-depth analysis of the most common non-conformity that discoloration has made it possible to identify the reasons for its formation and propose appropriate corrective actions.

The article presents the basic information related to the issue of controlling. The work contains the most common in the literature definitions of controlling, its classifications and areas of potential applications. Then the authors present basic information about the printing industry in Poland, and also pay attention to the possible use of controlling in this sector. Authors described also the basic needs of controlling in the printing industry. In the research part of the article, the authors based on data from the chosen printing company present the application of certain aspects of controlling, as well as indicate where the unit of controlling in the organizational structure. Prepared tables can significantly facilitate the functioning of the company, and are very simple and convenient tool for monitoring and early warning. The authors thanks to their knowledge and experience in printing prepared sets of measures at both operational and strategic. With the collected history data it became possible to determine the allowable deviation and a statement in which measures company should focus corrective action. In the prepared tables authors use a holistic approach, and the procedures proposed by Prof. S. Marciniak. Worthy of note is also the fact that the subject matter of controlling the printing industry is not too often raised in scientific studies.

The effectiveness and improving the efficiency of machine parks are not sufficient to build a sustainable competitive advantage, but is heavily dependent on corporate culture and people’s commitment. Making the change should be based on solid foundations, such as a commitment to teamwork, raising morale, discipline and related activities as communication, self-reliance and skills. It is also important to refer to the analytical methods, on the basis of which you can see the progress and adaptation to the change. The subject of study was a three years period of transformation the company, which recorded losses financial and held back payment of wages due to fulfillment of production plan (30-40%) over the previous few years and then increase productivity and full implementation of the plan.
