In this paper we present the new rough sets module for NovoSpark® Visualizer (NV) software. We describe the NV system architecture and the place of the new module in it. We also present the procedure of rough sets analysis with NV software. In addition an example of rules discovering and visualization is provided to evaluate the proposed module. The results show that useful rules are discovered efficiently from the data set.

W artykule zaprezentowano projekt nowego modułu do automatyzacji teorii zbiorów przybliżonych dla oprogramowania NovoSpark® Visualizer (NV). Opisano architekturę systemu oraz wskazano miejsce nowego modułu. Ponadto zaprezentowano przebieg procedury analizy i wizualizacji zbiorów przybliżonych w systemie. Przedstawiono przykład odkrywania i wizualizacji reguł za pomocą opracowanej procedury. W wyniku przeprowadzenia eksperymentu udało się otrzymać szereg użytecznych reguł decyzyjnych.

In this paper the authors present a method for visualization and qualitative analysis of multivariate data implemented in the NovoSpark® Visualizer software system. An application example, based on solar activity data, is discussed as well. Selected traditional methods are compared with NovoSpark method. The results of experiment prove that traditional methods of multidimensional data visualization (such as linear plots and parallel coordinates) lack the ability to simultaneously display all dimension values, static or dynamic, in a clear single image.

Tradycyjne metody wielowymiarowej wizualizacji danych (takie jak macierze wykresów rozproszonych, współrzędne biegunowe, twarze Chernoffa itp.) nie pozwalają na jednoczesne wyświetlanie wszystkich wartości wymiarów statycznych lub dynamicznych w ramach jednego przejrzystego obrazu. W artykule autorzy przedstawiają metodę wizualizacji i jakościowej analizy danych wielowymiarowych w systemie NovoSpark®Visualizer. Podano przykład zastosowania systemu do analizy danych wybranych wskaźników aktywności słonecznej.

This paper describes the concept of cognitive graphics and its importance for the analysis and visualization of economic data. A brief description of cognitive graphics systems is presented. Particular attention is given to the NovoSpark Visualizer system that not only enables data exploration but also allows color transformation of numerical data. An experiment is conducted to demonstrate how the application of color spectrum results in activation of cognitive thinking, and thus allows the researcher to quickly find a solution to the problem.

Opisano analityczny system hybrydowy, wspomagający automatyzację procesu identyfikacji i doboru tych procesów biznesowych, które mogą zostać racjonalnie przeprojektowane w procesie reengineeringu. Omówiono czynniki wpływające na racjonalność przeprojektowania procesów. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono określeniu jakości procesów za pomocą zbiorów przybliżonych oraz wpływu, jaki mają te procesy na klientów organizacji.

The article describes the Analytical Hybrid System, which supports procedure of identification and selection of business processes might be rebuilt with most rationality through the course of reengineering. In addition, the article depicts the factors, which have influence on rationality of the processes rebuilding. The comprehensions of the Risk Zone and Enlarge Zone of Tolerance are bringing in. A special attention is paid to the determination of the quality of the processes using Rough Sets and to the influence these processes have on the clients of the company.
