Condensation of refrigerant R404A under external disturbances

The paper describes results of experimental investigations of condensation of the refrigerant R404A in the flow through a coiled tube under conditions of external disturbances that occur in refrigeration units. The development and decay of condensation is induced by impulse changes of parameters of the two-phase system, such as pressure and mass flux density in the tubular channel. It is confirmed that the two-phase systems exhibit wave properties and that the disturbances propagate with finite velocities. Experiment-based correlations are obtained to describe the propagation of disturbances during development and decay of condensation of the refrigeration medium in the tubular channel.

Przeprowadzono badania wrzenia i skraplania czynnika chłodniczego w przepływie w warunkach zaburzeń występujących w urządzeniach chłodniczych. Rozwój lub zanik przemian fazowych wywoływano przez jednostkową zmianę parametrów układu dwufazowego, np. ciśnienia i gęstości strumienia masy w kanale rurowym. Potwierdzono, że ośrodki dwufazowe wykazują własności falowe a wywoływane zaburzenia przemieszczają się ze skończoną prędkością. Badania przeprowadzono przy wykorzystaniu sprężarkowego obiegu chłodniczego z proekologicznym czynnikiem R404A.

Experimental investigations of the process of condensation in a tube coil of a model condenser have been undertaken. The refrigerant R404A was supplied to the coil tube through a cut-off valve that was also used to introduce unit disturbances in the system. The induced disturbances were here to simulate the situations occurring in operational practice. The experimental investigations confirm the wave nature of propagation of disturbances in the two-phase system. The propagation of disturbance signals in the power installations takes place at finite velocities.

Przeprowadzono badania eksploatacyjne sprężarkowego agregatu skraplającego na czynnik R404A. Wyznaczono wielkości opisujące pracę agregatu w warunkach rzeczywistych. Badania przeprowadzono dla różnych obciążeń cieplnych urządzenia chłodniczego. Wyznaczono wartości współczynnika dostarczania sprężarki tłokowej. Otrzymane wyniki badan eksperymentalnych porównano z wartościami obliczeń teoretycznych. Wykazano stopień przydatności dla praktyki inżynierskiej poszczególnych metod określania współczynnika dostarczania sprężarki tłokowej.

Energy studies of a compressor-refrigerating unit operating on an R404A refrigerating medium were carried out Parameters characterizing the operation of the refrigerating unit under service conditions were determined. Studies were carried out for different heat loads applied to the refrigerating system. The value of the supply ratio for reciprocating compressors was determined. The experimental results were compared to the results of theoretical calculations. A degree of practicability of respective methods for the determination of the supply ratio for reciprocating compressors was specified.
