Cybersecurity is one of the most common security topics at present times. Society has enormous capabilities and possibilities in the cyberspace which create opportunities and threats as well. A cyberwar, a cyberterrorism and a cybercrime have permanently entered the catalog of threats for security. This kind of situation in a cyberspace determines need for coordinated activities at international and national level which will provide an acceptable level of security in this area. This article presents and briefly outlines threats for the state cybersecurity. There are also presented activities aimed to lead protection of this area. In addition, author analyzed the current structure of cybersecurity system in the Republic of Poland.

Postępująca powszechnie cyfryzacja dokumentów oraz popularność i dostępność Internetu spowodowały konieczność zmiany podejścia do bezpieczeństwa informacji. Zwiększa się ilość informacji, które dostępne są wyłącznie w wersji elektronicznej, co powoduje stosowanie coraz bardziej wyspecjalizowanych sposobów ich zabezpieczenia przed ujawnieniem. Powszechny dostęp do informacji pociąga za sobą wzrost świadomości, co do zagrożeń związanych z bezpieczeństwem informacji, jak również wzmacnianie ochrony informacji. W artykule autor dokonuje analizy sprawności systemów bezpieczeństwa informacji w sferze gospodarki i administracji publicznej. Przedstawia aktualne zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa informacji. Porusza również kwestię postępującej cyfryzacji w administracji i jej wpływu na bezpieczeństwo w tym obszarze. Artykuł zawiera też analizę najważniejszych instytucji działających w Polsce na rzecz bezpieczeństwa w Internecie.

Progress in digitization of documents along with popularity and availability of the Internet made it necessary to change the approach to information security. The amount of information which is accessible only in an electronic form is increasing, which in turn causes that more and more specialised ways of protecting it from disclosure are used. Common access to the information is accompanied by both the increase in awareness of threats related to information security as well as enhancing protection of security of information. In the article the author analyses efficiency of security systems in the sphere of economy and public administration. Current threats pertaining to the security of information are also presented. The issue of progressive digitization in administration together with its impact on security is also tackled. The article contains the analysis of the most important Polish institutions responsible for Internet security.

Piractwo morskie jest jednym z elementów występujących na morzach i ocenach, któ- ry stanowi poważne zagrożenie dla prawidłowego funkcjonowania żeglugi i handlu morskiego. Proceder ten stwarzał przez wieki zagrożenie podstaw międzynarodowej wymiany towarowej. Rozwój cywilizacyjny nie wyeliminował istniejących zagrożeń w tym obszarze, co za tym idzie już na przełomie XX i XXI wieku nastąpił swoisty renesans tego zjawiska. Autorka artykułu ukazuje czym właściwie jest piractwo morskie i jak duże stanowi zagrożenie w dzisiejszych czasach oraz wyjaśnia definicję piractwa i przedstawia jego prawne aspekty. Wyjaśnia także przyczyny oraz sposoby przeciwdziałania. Niniejszy artykuł przybliża współczesny obraz tego zjawiska. Przedstawiona została także sytuacja Somalii, kraju postrzeganego jako ośrodek światowego piractwa.

Piracy is an element present in seas and oceans, which poses a serious threat for the proper functioning of shipping and maritime trade. For centuries this practice has been a threat for the basis of international exchange of goods. Development of civilization has not eliminated the threat in this area, on the contrary, in the turn of the twentieth and twenty first centuries, the phenomenon experienced a kind of a renaissance. The aim of the paper is to explain what maritime piracy is and how big threat it poses nowadays. The author clarifies the definition of maritime piracy and discusses its legal aspects. The reasons for the phenomenon and the countermeasures are presented in the paper. It explains the character of piracy. The situation in Somalia, which is perceived as the centre of modern maritime piracy, has also been presented in the article.
