Better transportation system is a basic need, not only of developed countries but also for developing countries. The context of the paper is based on traffic congestion, motorization problems, specification, and growth in transportation demand. Like these problems are described in detail to focus genuine and basic reason. This work is focusing on reasons of transportation problems and their examples and concerned factors. In addition to travel time, safety, energy and environment; public health is also an important issue that should be considered as a side effect of a transportation system.

Transport kołowy jest istotnym w komunikacji zarówno w krajach zaliczanych do rozwiniętych jak i rozwijających się. Przedmiotem wypowiedzi jest analiza wybranych problemów w transporcie kołowym w krajach rozwijających się na wybranym przykładzie. Uwagę zwrócono między innymi na zagadnienia intensywności potoków ruchu i ich źródła w aspekcie wzrostu gospodarczego tych krajów i szybkich przemian społecznych.

This paper presents detailed studies in relevance of fatigue. Diverse aspects of fatigue, like causality dala, risk factors and consequences have enlightened to address proper fatigue mechanism. Fatigue is going to be major issue in Asia, and has brought many deaths annually. Fatigue is a process that start s with risk factors, moves on to subjective perceptions of and concludes with the consequences of fatigue. Driver fatigue is recognized as a major causal faetor in accidents involving long-haul commercial drivers. Human operational performance and its relation with road safety is really great mean to understand in terms of technical and human behaviour. Fatigue risk factors, sleep, noise and working schedule etc like are also reduced with specific solution and personnel limits. Human error is found a basie reason of fatigue and need to be addressed to public and concerned authorities. Mathematical model and field based data is highly appreciated to understand basic scenario of subject and accident. The best way to reduce fatigue is to address issues publically and improve system according to environment of transport. This paper presents an introduction to the human fatigue model formulation and its application using a conception of the diserete time process that is regenerative with respect to the renewal process. The model can be used to estimate the human fatigue according to partial and full rest.

Knowledge of the improved traffic management and its effect on road safety is an important component in the process of sustainable road network development. Having in mind that so many road traffic casualties occur, a key priority in transport policy is making highways as safe as possible. The mentioned objective is attained by means of sustainable safety. The paper focuses on sustainable road safety and his principles, based on selected Asian countries experiences. The knowledge base covers institutional responsibility of road safety, the development of a road safety action plan, raising awareness and understanding of road safety problems, road crash data systems, road safety education and training, traffic safety legislation, enforcement of traffic laws and monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of road safety activities. In order to improve road transportation safety an organized sustainable approach is needed via concentrated action of all of participants in the process of realizing the transport service such as: governments at all levels, those who are professionally engaged in transport and traffic engineering and road users themselves.

Wiedza i praktyka w zakresie skutecznego zarządzania rozproszonym transportem kołowym jest kluczowa dla skutecznego kształtowania bezpieczeństwa systemu z uwzględnieniem jego zrównoważonego rozwoju. Publikacja koncentruje swoją uwagę na zagadnienia bezpieczeństwa w ruchu drogowym z perspektywy wybranych azjatyckich krajów doświadczeń i ewolucji z uwzględnieniem krajów rozwiniętych.
