HDG (Hot Dip Galvanized Coatings) and Duplex System are the protection methods widely used in various areas of the economy, including construction and infrastructure. This article aims to highlight the possible preventive interventions inherent to these mentiored protection technologies, dealing with the effects of steel composition, shape, dimensions and detailed structure of the parts to be hot dip galvanized as well as composition and other features of the molten Zinc bath. The dependency of the service life of the treated objects as a function of both environment and other metals connections are analyzed with life examples. The complex procedures suitable to provide a safe extension of both the inner zinc coating and the metal structure itself under the organic coating are examined together with possible mistakes and carelessness which might heavily affect the efficiency of the system.

Cynkowe powłoki ogniowe i system Duplex są metodami ochrony powszechnie stosowanymi w różnych dziedzinach gospodarki, w tym w budownictwie i infrastrukturze. W artykule wskazano możliwe interwencje zapobiegawcze związane z wymienionymi technologiami ochrony, zajmując się wpływem składu stali, kształtu, wymiarów i szczegółowej struktury części, które mają być cynkowane ogniowo, a także składu i innych cech kąpieli stopionego cynku. Przeanalizowano zależność żywotności obiektów poddanych obróbce w funkcji zarówno środowiska, jak i połączeń z innymi metalami na przykładach. Zbadano złożone procedury odpowiednie do zapewnienia bezpiecznego przedłużenia zarówno wewnętrznej powłoki cynkowej, jak i struktury metalowej pod powłoką organiczną wraz z możliwymi błędami i nieostrożnością, które mogą poważnie wpłynąć na efektywność systemu.
