Lviv urban green on the example of selected objects

Lviv is the largest city in western Ukraine. The authors of the work discuss three public parks located in the city center, presenting their historical outline, compositions and spatial arrangement as well as landscape architecture objects. These include: Ivan Franko Park, Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky and Stryjski Park. These public urban park establishments have an interesting history of creation and transformation, perform leisure and recreation functions, are overgrown by valuable dendroflora and are a place of birds’ existence. The parks have convenient walking paths and routes, and within them, there are small architecture objects personalized for the needs of the city of Lviv (litter bins, benches, lanterns), as well as playgrounds, gazebos and monuments.

Lwów to największe miasto zachodniej Ukrainy. Autorzy pracy omawiają trzy parki publiczne położone w centrum miasta, przedstawiając ich zarys historyczny, kompozycje i układ przestrzenny oraz obiekty małej architektury. Należą do nich: Park Iwana Franki, Centralny Park Kultury i Wypoczynku im. Bohdana Chmielnickiego oraz Park Stryjski. Te publiczne miejskie założenia parkowe posiadają interesującą historię powstania i przekształceń, pełnią funkcje wypoczynkowe i rekreacyjne, porasta je cenna dendroflora oraz stanowią miejsce bytowania ptaków. W parkach wyznaczone są wygodne ścieżki i trasy do spacerowania, a w ich obrębie znajdują się spersonalizowane na potrzeby miasta Lwowa obiekty małej architektury (kosze na śmieci, ławki, latarnie), a ponadto również place zabaw, altany czy pomniki.

The article defines the historical value and presents the results of a detailed dendrological inventory of lime trees alley in Droblin, Leśna Podlaska commune. The alley is a part of the manor and park complex of the nineteenth century and it is a valuable object not only in historical, but also in natural terms. The manor house, around which grow inventoried trees, originally belonged to the Hińcza and Wężyk families and currently it serves as a private catering and hotel facility with a stable. The access alley after the restoration and complementary plantings is to be the main thoroughfare leading to the manor house

Kwiaty były uprawiane w donicach i misach już w czasach Homera. Na ilustracjach wczesnego Egiptu widoczne są rośliny w donicach stojące w ogrodzie w symetrycznych wzorach. Na początku do wnętrz mieszkalnych dworów i pałaców przenoszono rośliny krajowe, z czasem zaczęto sprowadzać gatunki obce, przywożone przez botaników z całego świata. W artykule przedstawiono ważniejsze gatunki stosowane, jako rośliny pokojowe w XIX w., oraz opisano meble i pojemniki do ekspozycji roślin używane w tamtych czasach. W procesie aranżacji wnętrza historycznego ważne jest, aby wykonać właściwy dobór gatunkowy do stylu mieszkania.

The flowers were planted in pots and bowls in the times of Homer. The illustrations can be seen early Egyptian plants in pots standing in the garden in symmetrical patterns. The article presented important species used as a plant room in the nineteenth century, and describes the furniture and containers for exposure of plants used in those days. The interior design of the historical process, it is important to take the proper selection of species to the style of the apartment.
