The following article is an attempt at a condensed description of the history of the Tarnobrzeskie Zagłębie Siarkowe (the sulphur mining district), covering the history of the combine and the sulphur mines that were part of it. The main objective of the article is to highlight the following three elements: the extremely dynamic development of a new type of sulphur mining and refining in an area with no previous history of mining and chemical traditions, the great effort and dedication of the company staff creating a new branch of the Polish mining and refining industry and the unprecedented significance of this industry for the development not only of Tarnobrzeg with its surroundings, but also the whole of Poland.

The article describes the rules of execution of initial coating layers of low vapour permeability films and initial coating panels. Described were also the general rules of execution of initial coat layers in the key components of slanted roofs.

W artykule podano zalecenia dotyczące podstawowych zasad budowy najważniejszych fragmentów dachów pochyłych. Zasady te pozwalają na uzyskanie wymaganej klasy szczelności. Ich celem jest określenie najważniejszych cech prawidłowych rozwiązań ważnych detali dachu. Opisano prawidłowe zasady układania warstw wstępnego krycia z pap i membran z tworzyw sztucznych, a także wysokoparoprzepuszczalnych membran wstępnego krycia.

The article provides recommendations concerning the basie rules of construction of the most important components of slanted roofs. These rules permit the achievement of the required tightness class. Their purpose is the determination of the key properties of correct solutions of important details of the roof. Described are the correct rules of arrangement of initial coating layers using synthetic felt and membranes, as well as high-vapour-permeability membranes for initial coating layers
