This paper presents a new approach for searching the most favourable mechanical assembly sequence. The proposed method is described and its basic modules are presented. The concept is based on the assumption that the method should help the engineer in specifying the best assembly sequence with the short possible time calculation, taking into account the principles of design for assembly at an early stage of development of the product design. The algorithm for generating an accurate assembly sequence was described in detail and its application on real-life example was presented.

The paper presents a production process optimization by the simulation approach. The research was realized by a case study for an enterprise producing welding pliers for the automotive industry. The solution of the study was realized in the environment of the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software, which can simulate the production process after choosing the right conditions and connections among the elements. The research aimed at creating a simulation model of the evaluated process with real data and designing optimization solution of the production process, which assumes an increase in the devices and machines utilization. The results showed improvements in the efficiency of the production process, in the particular case increasing by more than 25%.

The wastes which infiltrate into the environment are created from unexpended materials and products. The environment can manage a great amount of waste, but this process requires time. Nature always attempts to achieve the balance . However, degradation of some materials in nature takes about 1000 years, which is a very long period of time in terms of the length of a human life, also in view of the rising trend of wastes generation. The need for appropriate waste management is steadily rising, as does the production of wastes and our living standards. Incorrect waste management has a negative impact on all components of the environment. Waste management, their processing and recycling additionally contribute to human health protection and preservation of a healthy environment. Another benefit is in the form of raw materials extraction, the global supplies of which are constantly reducing. One of the possible ways of effective waste management is improving environmental awareness but the science brings different ways of solution, for example in connection with waste management and simulation of wastes flow. The paper presents one of this ways by help with the creation of centralized collection point of wastes using a universal model which is usable for different countries with the problem of wastes and waste management.

Selection of distribution channel type is an important decision of every manufacturing company and also for production engineering. Appropriate choice of distribution channel can save considerable costs while maintaining a high level of customer service. Determination of an appropriate strategy for the management of enterprise distribution channel. In this article, the selection of the type of distribution channel is proposed using ANP method to determine the strength of influence of input factors on the target set of potential options. Submitted model is very clear, understandable and according to the proposed methodology easy to implement, while also providing clear and understandable results during the selection of the type of distribution channel. The proposed model is primarily targeting for distribution of high-value stone which needs to decide which distribution strategy should be chosen or if to switch to another distribution strategy more suitable for the company needs.
