In the article there has been presented a general concept of using expertise system technologies (SE) to support automated command systems of C3I class (Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence). In the introduction, a technological structure of the hitherto existing command systems of C3I class have been described and then basic user’s advantages of the expertise systems have been presented. On this terminology base, the main directions to use the expertise systems technologies have been defined to information decision making support of the C31 class command systems in the selected organisational - functional subsystems network. In conclusion there has been shown that flexible implementing of the expertise systems technologies into organisational - functional structure of automated command systems of C3I class profoundly increases their functional effectiveness and the effectiveness of computer supported command bodies in the future battle field.
