In recent years personal computers started fast development. Their processing power rapidly increased and work environment became friendlier for the end user. Accordingly, management and maintenance of mass data raised a need for enhanced data security and protection computer system equipped with central MAINFRAME seems to be a good solution for this problem, because of its data protection and data gathering methods. With regard to workstations, PCs using emulators may perform their tasks, although dump terminals used to be traditional workstations. Nevertheless, it is LAN with PCs connected to MAINFRAME provides reasonable opportunities and cover needs of all the users, which are often spread in a wide area.

Towards the end of the XX age there has been considerable progress of technology in telecomunication and computer science inquiry. Traditional manner of delivering and storages of information in paper- figure was ineffective and caused that firms were less competitive. All this contributed to quick interests with new system called workflow management systems. This new system of workflow permited to change rhythm of work in firms and if are, used properlly it enlarges production and competitiveness in firms. Thanks to the workflow firms can easily master all the time neight of information, which causes will come into rising more and more greater numbers of documents. This permits to plan production, and to put out thousands of :nvoices. It is not necessary to convince nobody, that computer is a tool, without which "vork in every firms is very difficult. In this report introduced will be indispensable environment workflow managements in firms.
