Purpose: The aim of the research will be indicate the main and secondary factors determining the choice of petrol stations by micro and small road transport enterprises, whose registered office is located in the Podkarpackie Voivodship. The essence of the research problem will boil down to answering questions about the main and secondary factors determining the choice of petrol stations by micro and small road transport enterprises in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Detailed questions will concern the indication of differences when choosing a supplier, taking the criterion of the size of enterprises, owned fleet of vehicles or geographical scope of operations. Therefore, the subject of the study is the retail market of transport fuels, and the subject of the research are micro and small road transport enterprises located in the Podkarpackie Voivodship. The area of research is the determinants of the choice of petrol stations by the surveyed enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: The research procedure will run through the following stages: 1) indicating the topic, purpose and scope of the research; 2) determination and definition of evaluation criteria; 3) construction and development of the interview form; 4) selection of the database of road transport enterprises; 5) selection of the test sample; 6) measurement; 7) interpretation of the obtained results; 8) final conclusions; 9) dissemination of research results. The research method used is a direct interview. The measurement will be carried out on the basis of an interview form. For the purposes of the research, areas of assessment were indicated, i.e. the initial criterion, form of cooperation and selection determinants. Findings: The implementation of the topic and purpose of the research allowed to indicate the determinants of the choice of petrol stations by micro and small road transport enterprises, whose headquarters are located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. It should be emphasized that the presented research is the second stage of the research process, the main purpose of which is to indicate the scope and form of cooperation of a retail supplier of liquid fuels with a micro and small road transport company in the Podkarpackie Voivodship. The stages of its implementation include: determining the attributes of the commercial offer of the petrol station network in the analyzed region; an indication of the determinants of the choice of a supplier of liquid fuels by the surveyed enterprises; determination of the extent to which the commercial offer of the petrol station network addressed to micro and small road transport enterprises in the Podkarpackie Voivodship reflects the real needs of the market. Originality/value: In this article, the actions taken to achieve the progress of scientific knowledge led to the expansion of knowledge in the discipline of management and quality science in the area of trade systems, their organization and management. The research focused on the areas that have and will have an impact on improving the competitive position of road transport enterprise.

Object of the research is the retail market of transport fuels in the Podkarpackie Voivodship, and the subject of the research is the petrol station network operating there. The area of research are the attributes of the commercial offer of the petrol station network addressed to micro and small road transport enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: The research procedure will run through the following stages: 1) indicating the topic, purpose and scope of the research; 2) determination and definition of evaluation criteria; 3) selection of the test sample; 4) measurement; 5) interpretation of the obtained results; 6) final conclusions; 7) dissemination of research results. Three criteria were used to evaluate the comercial offer, i.e. economic and financial, organizational and technical, and security. In addition, an interview form was developed. In Poland, the share of road transport carried out by micro and small enterprises in total transport remains at a very high level. There is an increase in the number of motor vehicles in the country. In the structure of vehicles, the vast majority are those with internal combustion engines. Currently, the prices of liquid fuels remain at a very high level. As a consequence, an increase in the share of fuel purchase costs in the global cost structure of enterprises is observed. It should be emphasized that the fuel and energy market is very strongly determined by current events in the world. As a consequence, one of the basic postulates put forward by micro and small road transport enterprises is the reliability of fuel supplies and the guarantee of an acceptable level of their prices. the aim of the article will be to organize and disseminate knowledge by indicating the attributes and determinants of the national system of liquid fuels for the needs of micro and small road transport enterprises in terms of supporting their decision-making process leading to the selection of an appropriate supplier of transport fuels. W Polsce znaczny udział transportu drogowego realizowany jest przez mikro i małe przedsiębiorstwa. Obserwuje się ciągły wzrost liczby pojazdów mechanicznych. W strukturze pojazdów zdecydowaną większość stanowią auta z silnikami spalinowymi. Obecnie ceny paliw płynnych są stosunkowo wysokie, co powoduje wzrost udziału kosztów zakupu paliw w ogólnej strukturze kosztów przedsiębiorstw. Należy podkreślić, że rynek paliw i energii jest zależny od bieżących wydarzeń na świecie. Jednym z podstawowych postulatów stawianych przez mikro i małych przedsiębiorców transportu drogowego jest pewność dostaw paliw i gwarancja ich cen. Celem artykułu jest uporządkowanie i upowszechnienie wiedzy, wskazanie atrybutów i determinantów kraj owego systemu paliw płynnych na potrzeby transportu drogowego W zakresie wspomagania procesu decyzyjnego, prowadzącego do wyboru odpowiedniego dostawcy paliw. Na podstawie przeglądu literatury i analizy statystycznej określono aktualny stan wiedzy w zakresie poruszanej problematyki, opisano metody badawcze, przeanalizowano kraj owy rynek paliw transportowych i przedstawiono wnioski końcowe.

Purpose: The overriding goal of the considerations is to indicate the assumptions and rule for the implementation of the procedure leading to the appointment of an appropriate fuel and energy supplier in large-format enterprises (L-FE), to the extent necessary to improve economic results. The choice will take into account both the size and structure of the resources that are at the disposal of the enterprise and the environmental conditions. The practical goal will be to develop a concept for the implementation of the procedure for the evaluation and selection of a supplier of energy carriers for the needs of a commercial entity. Design/methodology/approach: The research procedure will run through the following stages: 1. Presentation of the theoretical foundations by discussing concepts related to the functioning of the fuel and energy economy as well as indicating the methods and criteria for selecting a supplier. The research method used will be a review of the literature on the subject. 2. Recognition of the L-FE decision situation through the analysis of the subjective, objective and process structure. The research method used will be direct observation with participation. The observation will be carried out in four commercial networks (in total seven enterprises). 3. Setting the assumptions for the implementation of the procedure for the evaluation and selection of the supplier of energy carriers in L-FE. At this stage, the purpose of the procedure, its essence, stages and tasks of implementation as well as the procedure will be indicated. Responsible persons and contractors will be appointed. The evaluation criteria as well as the applicable entry and exit documents will be proposed. The research method used will be the expert method. Findings: The added value of the article is the answer to the question: how is the process of assessing and selecting the supplier of energy carriers in L-FE? The work indicates its goal, stages and tasks of implementation, applicable documents, methods of proceeding and evaluation criteria. The proposed solution contains practical guidelines. Should be noted that the adopted scheme of conduct and the method of its application in a trading enterprise creates the possibility of transferring the developed solutions to other economic systems. Originality/value: In this article, the actions taken have been focused on areas that have and will have an impact on reducing the costs of the company's operation and, consequently, on improving their competitive position on the market.
