The recession of the world’s economy in the 1815–1849 made a negative impression on the situation of baltic trade. The diffi cultys for turnovers of the Szczecin’s harbour were caused of the weak turnovers with Great Britain, which surounded with a fence of custom barriers from an import from the region of Baltic. The situation was expected to improve with marking a direct trade liaisons of Szczecin with America. That attempt failed because of the strong competition of Hamburg and Bremen. That attempts ended in 1846 after returning of Great Britain to more liberal trade policy. It infuenced that maritime trade of Szczecin was strongly connected with Great Britain.
