Introduction of interval calculus and methods to everyday laboratory practice is encouraged. After a short presentation of basic facts from interval analysis, an algorithm is presented, which finds the straight line describing the experimental data. The results are compared with those obtainable by least squares method. Not only this method handles easily the linear cases with uncertainties in either one or two variables, but it also has other important and rather unexpected uses. There is no particular confidence level, the results are simply guaranteed.
